2nd Attempt!

Hi ya,
After trying the magic slider card, I thought I would have another go as I was in the flow - or so I thought!!!
Goodness how wrong was I , it really didn't come together at all, the sliding part did not want to be my friend at all, so I will be calling this card the gatefold card without the magic sliding bit!!!
Here is the front of the card, quite simple just with a sentiment

And here is the inside

I do love this colour combo pink and green I believe I have done a few in different papers before but still the colour combo its lovely and refreshing.
I think the stamp is penny black and the border is a CC designs.
There is a bit of bling and sparkle from stickles but alas can never seem to catch in a photo!

Hope you like, enjoy the weekend !!

Gatefold Shutter Card

Hi there,
I have been seeing a few cards of late which if I remember rightly are called a gatefold shutter card.
I love the overall affect and decided to give it a shot so this is my first attempt , could be a little neater , hopefully they will improve as I make others.
I know we are in April and yes I decided to choose a Christmas theme as will be taking part in the ABC christmas challenge (home) or (informal).
Maybe my next one will be Easter themed which is more appropriate for this time of year!
Here is the front of my card which has a little belly band t0 keep the card closed
This is such a cute image and from a very old Doodlebug stamp set i stumbled upon when i was searching for something else.
The inside of the card is when the magic happens as you may be able to see here
The green pieces of card are attached to the outer folds so when you open the card they pull apart revealing the message it's so cool!
Thanks for looking x

Chalkboard Card

Hi again,
Well I didn't expect to be back so soon but here I am with a nice and easy card using some lovely papers which have a chalkboard effect , I think this is a pad from Craftwork Cards.
The best wishes tag is from a matching tag pad that goes with the papers.
I haven't done a lot with this one, nice and simple, I'm loving my little pink sizzix bee die with his
sparkly wings his so cute.

Christmas Card

Hi, a Happy New Year to you all x
A little late for Christmas but this is one of the few cards I made last year using the lovely /neat and tangled stamps and dies, nice and easy for me as not much colouring needed to produce a quick and easy card.
Ideal when you lack inspiration but am hoping it will come back to me this year as I have lots of unused stash that is crying out for some love.
To help me back into my crafting hobby I decided the best way to do it will be to join in some of the many challenges out there which will hopefully give me some much needed va va voom!

Finally a card!!!

Hullo Hullo,

It's been a very long time no see, but finally got round to making a card even if it has been a couple of years and can you believe I went and chose to make a Christmas card while we are having all this lovely weather!!!

As you can see I am still using kraft card don't think I will ever get out of that habit, and the not so traditional pastel pink and green colours, love this combo!
I have used CC design dies for the baubles, wording and smaller rectangles, the larger die is a Lil inker design.
I wasn't actually intending on making a card, its been so long now didn't know if I still had it in me lol !
I was looking for something and then started tidying up my desk and thought ooh lets see what we got here, in the basket of new goodies that has been untouched and loved for a very long time - I literally had forgotten about all these lovely bits and pieces I had stashed!!

Hopefully this has kick started me to pick up where I left off......

Caz's Birthday Card!

Good Morning!
I am back with yet another fantastic style card from Elizabeth Craft Designs - this one is called Tag Pivot card and is designed by the super talented Karen Burniston who designs the most fabulous dies to make fun and creative cards so easily but with the wow factor!
This card was made for my friend Caz whose birthday was on Tuesday, so just knew I had to make a card with something fun and sweet on -so out came my Elzybells!!!!!
I just love this set, the sheep and chickies are super cute!!

As you can see a lot of fussy cutting was done on this card, I loved making it and it came out just how I wanted it to, not sure the sparkles are picked up that well but they are there!
I am a huge fan of Elzybells but unfortunately they do not trade anymore but I am sure I have pretty much all of the stamps and I can stand up proud and say I was an addict lol x

I also finished off the back of the card, along with a few more chickies they are just so sweet I love em!!
The papers are also a fave of mine and are the Crate paper -Kiss Kiss collection, think I need to stock up on these.
Hope you like and have yourself a great weekend!

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - April DC Team and Friends

Hullo Hullo,
Well today is a special day for me as my lovely talented friend Caz asked me if I would like to join her on this months Karen Burniston Designer Challenge as they were allowed to ask a friend!
Of all the crafty friends Caz could pick she chose 'lil ole me'  and that's basically when the drama started and the panic set in -sleepless nights and the self doubt!!!!!!
Only joking ha ha!!!
Caz is a wonderful friend and has a wicked sense of humour, not a day goes by without us having a real old belly laugh. She is also a true crafter through and through right to the core, I reckon if I chopped her in half she would have BORN TO CRAFT in the centre - just like a stick of rock!!

Well the challenge was to make an accordion card, and there are so so many fantastic styles of these fab cards, where on earth would I start..............well that was easy enough, die cut my accordion in KRAFT cardstock !!! (you knew that was coming!)
I am a big big fan of Kraft absolutely love it love it love it love it!!!!!
I was lucky enough to be given the rectangle die to complete the challenge (thank you so much) and I also decided to use the oval accordion together with it.

I decorated my accordion using the cute Elizabeth Craft Dies - Whiskers the Cat, Buster the Dog. and the Katie Star Frame edges and Oval Dot Frame edges.
A lot of bling has been added as every card needs some sparkle, poor old Buster he looks more like Barbara the dog with all that sparkle and bow in his hair - bless him lol !!!
Hope you like my card and if you fancy checking out the others that have contributed to this challenge please check them out at Caz's blog and you will find the links to the others in her sidebar.
Toodle pop!!!

Christmas Gingy!

Hi, I thought I would share my Christmas makes with you these were so much fun to create!
I do love anything Gingerbread man related I find them so cute!
I  used a Sizzix Die for the card base and a CottageCutz Gingerbread man, when you open the card the circle spins and you can then see the sentiment on the other side, love this style of card!
I also made these great candy dispensers using the WRMK gift box punch board and filled them with M and M's. I followed a fab tutorial you really must give this a go. After I had made them I will be honest I didn't want to give them away lol x
The lovely papers were free with a magazine and wish I had bought a couple of magazines as loved the colours and designs.
You just unhook the hatch at the bottom of Gingy's feet and shake your candy out - it is such a clever little box!

Sleigh Ride!

 Good Morning!
Whilst putting craft supplies away that had been lying gathering dust and unloved. I stumbled across this decoupage that I just had to have at the time!
I think this was last Christmas decoupage or dare I say may even have been the years before EEEKKK!!!
I just loved the style and colours and popped it out the packet and decided to rustle up a card - I know it's been so long I am surprised I remembered what I was doing lol x
So this is how it turned out and I love it!
Maybe this is the beginning of actually getting my Christmas cards done before December and rushing around like a mad thing!

Lawn Fawn 3D Box Card

Good Morning!!
As it is a lovely Sunshiny Day I thought you  may like to see my lovely 'sunshiny' :) card I made for my friend Stamping Caz!
It was her birthday on Monday and as she likes cute -  that is exactly what she got, I knew straight away I just had to use the Lawn Fawn Into the woods stamp set and papers to create a little scene!
One tiny little sparrow and then another came along..........
On the flaps I also used the Lawn Fawn - winter sparrows set - Sooooo Tweet!!!
I know I have said before how easy they are to make but you really should have a pop at this style of card as the recipient really does appreciate it once opened!!!
Especially so if they are Crafters!!!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody or should I be saying "Hoppy Easter!"
Here are a few of the Easter treat holders I made which were supposed to house a Creme Egg!!
Unfortunately as usual  I was last minute and the shops I chose to go to had sold out!!!
So they ended up housing a lickle bunny and a caramel bunny, which was in keeping I suppose with the packaging even though there was a round hole for an egg!
Maybe I shall change the design next year and use a chick!
The treat holders were extremely easy to make I got this wonderful idea from here
Well don't eat to many eggs!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, shame about the rain!

Pretty Flowers Everywhere!

 Good Morning!
Here is what I made my lovely Mum for Mother's Day!
I love love love this style of card and could not believe my luck in learning how incredibly easy they are - bonus!!!!
To know that this little beauty will fold flat into an envelope is so cool and she absolutely loved it!
I did have to pain stakingly cut around all these flowers as I did not have the matching die but in the end it was quite therapeutic as I stamped all the flowers and then cut while watching TV so didn't really notice I was doing it.
Here is a "fangy dangy" angle so you can see what an impact this style of card has.
I followed this brilliant tutorial where the lady gives you all the measurements in inches or cm definitely one to try!
Hope you like!
Have a wonderful Sunday x

Puss in Pink!

Good Morning!
Pink today and very girly!
A recent card I made for a friends birthday using the Elizabeth Craft Accordion Circle card with matching Square with circle frame edges (these are a must have to compliment your Accordion Circle Card!)
Kraft and gingham - match made in heaven!

I didn't actually do this card justice as silly me glued the card together wrong!!!!
Sooooooooooo annoying to say the least!
The inside white circles should be pointing forwards, a small error but still a pain!
Still as they say you learn from your mistakes, hopefully I will not repeat it lol x
Top tip I learn't from Caz was to first back your cardstock with Scortape before cutting the intricate filigree pieces from Square with circle frame edges so you can then peel back and stick straight to your card without having to use a glue pen!
Believe me I started off doing this first and it was very fiddly!
Hope you like, next one will be glued correctly!
Have a great sunny weekend!
