Eeek! A Mouse!

Hullo, Hullo,
Not a real mouse Silly!!
A wee little Penny Black Mouse that I have used for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge they have a great sketch this week.
This stamp is such a great one to use as you can adapt it for any occasion you choose as the little tag is blank.
I also found some nice bright coloured papers whilst browsing I think these came in a scrapbook kit , they have lots of stitching detail on the papers and luckily that is the challenge over at Secret Crafter this week.
I really must dust off my sewing machine and have a go at stitching for real with my papers as it really gives a nice finish, trouble with me is if it doesn't go right first time then back it goes in the cupboard, unfortunately patience is something I don't have and I don't like reading instructions - really not me!
Well, hope my card has brightened up your day as it is particularly wet and windy out there at the moment.
I will have to brave it though as I have forgotten my swede for the roast beef so off I must trot otherwise I will be swedeless!

Last But Not Least!

Hullo, Hullo,
Finally finished my mums birthday cards, this one was from me (although she did have to wait- oops!) she's not received it yet she will get it tonight as we are going out for a meal to celebrate her birthday.
She better like it as it's taken me ages!!
I have had to warn her though as it has a Tilda on it and in her words she say's they are sweet but they need a "gob!"
I do confess I did try putting on a "gob" but it did not work at all it looked daft so I scrapped that one.
I have tried especially hard to do a bit of shading with my copics - lordy it takes me forever!! and I am know where near anyone elses standards - hats off to you copic masters!!!
I also found it started to bleed a bit but managed to recover it slightly just don't look too closely!
I have also distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink (be kind I am knew to all this malarkey!)

I have used the easel style card as I just love the way they stand you can really make them look special.
Lots of new things used on here, and old but new as in not used before!!
I think my favourite item at the moment has to be MS punch eyelet lace this is just the prettiest punch ever everybody should have one!!
I will be entering my card for
Magnolia Challenge - Birthday card
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Distress Inks
Well I must fly have waited in all day for a parcel to arrive (supposedly before 12.30) daren't hoover incase I missed doorbell and guess what - YUP! it came when I was on the school run!
Luckily my eldest had just arrive home so he took it in!
Isn't that always the way!
Enjoy your evening whatever it may be

Happy Birthday Mum!

Hullo, Hullo,
Back with another card using lilac, I do like this colour, when I was about 10 I had a Pierrot the clown bedroom - Wow that brings back memories !!!
I have used the lilac as the challenge over at Just Cute Bears is to use this colour.
The sketch I have used from the new challenge blog A Gem of a Challenge, you must check both blogs out lovely cards on them.
Here is a close up of my cute bear, I really love those papermania shimmer dots simply because they are so shimmery!!!
Well, hope my mum likes her birthday cards I have made, still one more to go!
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM" we love you lots!

One of Many!

Hullo,Hullo,
Well I have made a start on my cards for my Mums birthday and this will be from one of the kids I have used the lovely new MME papers - Quite Contrary these are fabulous not only are they lovely designs and colours the texture is also fab, can you tell I really like these!!
I seem to be getting great use out of my flower punches at the mo and whilst I was sorting through my punches I found a small tag punch so decided to incorporate it with my wording.
I will also have to remember to tell my Mum not to check out my blog otherwise she will get to see this before she actually receives it.
This card happens to cover a few challenges, I will be entering it for Sweet Sketch Wednesday as I have used their sketch, Stamp Something - A Touch of Spring basically anything that makes you forget about the snow and Totally Gorguss, they want to see flowers, as you can see I have done them proud - flowers all over!
Hope to be back soon with another,

Just Cute Bears Challenge!

Hullo, Hullo,

Not seen me for long time and here I am back the next day!!

I have missed out on a couple of these challenges over at Just Cute Bears and it's a real shame as I didn't realise I had so many bear stamps, the one here is an Elzybell stamp, I just love these little bears they are so cute!

I have also used an Elzybell sentiment along with believe it or not, not actually kraft card but parcel paper - it looks just as good don't you think and a lot cheaper!!

Hope you like my card for today - need to get my thinking hat on as it's my mums birthday Wednesday so need to get creating!!

Thank you for not forgetting me I appreciate all your lovely comments !

Check This Out!

Hullo,Hullo,
Long time no see, Oh how I have missed you all!!
It is not because I haven't wanted to post just been really busy and not had any time to play unfortunately.
Not to mention that I also turned 40 recently so had a few celebrations (felt quite upset actually on having to leave my 30's) but hey ho I am over it now!!! and as everybody keeps telling me "It is only a number and your as old as you feel", luckily I still feel like I did when I was at school and certainly haven't grown up at all so I suppose that's a bonus!
I got some wonderful handmade cards from friends, I really must show them at some point , isn't it just lovely to receive a handmade card especially as we all know how much effort would have gone into making them and I really appreciate that.
Anyway enough of my waffle I did get round to making a card and luckily for me it also coincides with this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is called Check This Out and you need to use checks or ginghams on your card - what a result I had used gingham on the Valentines card for my loved one!
I used Tilda with ladybug (she so cute!) and for the 1st time ever attempted black hair and have to say I rather pleased with it, I have also used my new punch around the page Martha Stewart punch, oh how I love these punches I also received eyelet lace punch around the page for my birthday so will need to get my mitts on it and create!
I also received a lovely award from Emma (Thank you!)
Hope you like my creation today and that you not forgotten me - I'm still here!

Cutesy Card!

Hullo, Hullo,
I think we are in for a dreary day today, so thought I would brighten it up for you with my very colourful and fresh card, I am loving these colours together it reminds me of a jumper my mum knitted me as a kid! In fact my mum would knit my kids anything they were into at the time when they were little they had Power Ranger jumpers, Wallace and Gromit, Dennis the Menace to name but a few - very talented unfortunately it did not rub off on me, I am very cack handed when it comes to knitting needles!
Any way my card was made using the sketch over at Anyone For Anya , as I was looking for which stamp to use I noticed these lovely heart flowers with the Rock the Farm set so as there are quite a few challenges at the mo to use hearts I thought I would use them.
I will also be entering my card into these challenges
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - hearts
Cute Card Thursday - blooming gorguss
Little Red Wagon Challenge - hearts
Creative Belli - hearts
This is probably the first time I have taken a photo and managed to capture the sparkle from rhinestones! yay!
Hope you like my card and that it brightens your day!
