Check This Out!

Hullo,Hullo,
Long time no see, Oh how I have missed you all!!
It is not because I haven't wanted to post just been really busy and not had any time to play unfortunately.
Not to mention that I also turned 40 recently so had a few celebrations (felt quite upset actually on having to leave my 30's) but hey ho I am over it now!!! and as everybody keeps telling me "It is only a number and your as old as you feel", luckily I still feel like I did when I was at school and certainly haven't grown up at all so I suppose that's a bonus!
I got some wonderful handmade cards from friends, I really must show them at some point , isn't it just lovely to receive a handmade card especially as we all know how much effort would have gone into making them and I really appreciate that.
Anyway enough of my waffle I did get round to making a card and luckily for me it also coincides with this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is called Check This Out and you need to use checks or ginghams on your card - what a result I had used gingham on the Valentines card for my loved one!
I used Tilda with ladybug (she so cute!) and for the 1st time ever attempted black hair and have to say I rather pleased with it, I have also used my new punch around the page Martha Stewart punch, oh how I love these punches I also received eyelet lace punch around the page for my birthday so will need to get my mitts on it and create!
I also received a lovely award from Emma (Thank you!)
Hope you like my creation today and that you not forgotten me - I'm still here!
Toodle pop!
xxxx

  4. Happy belated birthday Suzie - Know what you mean about leaving your thirties - a couple more weeks and I will be joining you!
Gorgeous card, love the colours - this is one of my fav Tildas.
As to the fabrics on my fishy make today - the cream one is calico and the blue one - I'm not 100% sure as it was an old cushion, I reckon it is a soft canvas of some sort. LOL!
    Have a lovely weekend.
