Truly Scrumptious Challenge 6!

Hullo , Hullo,
Over at Truly Scrumptious Challenge blog, they have a fantastic sketch this week with lots of fab DT samples that truly are good enough to eat which incidentally is the theme for this week!
Pop over and see the great prize you can win if your lucky enough!
For my card I decided to use my new goodies I had bought from Craftsulove and tonight realised that it's all good to chop into papers as when you see the end result it's all worth it (not all the time) I can assure you in my case - ooh you gotta laugh when your on your 3rdcard and it follows the other 2 in the bin - have you "bin" there (excuse the pun!):)
Unfortunately the camera hasn't done the card any favours as the papers are pastel but for some reason it is making it look very pasty - sorry about this - it is much better in real life honest.
I have used McGill cupcake punch along with papermania blueberry hill papers, I think these would look lovely with Magnolias, along with some heroart gems and my faithful doodlebug rubons.
Enjoy the rest of your evening I am off to have an ice cold glass of milk - this crafting is thirsty work you know.

Sketch Saturday Challenge 48

hullo hullo,
hope you have all had a good weekend - doesn't time fly when your having fun!
Before you know it it's Monday and back to work.
I have made my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge

It was all going well,I knew exactly what I had in mind and then I went overboard - ooh it is so annoying when that happens (or does it only happen to me I wonder!)
The card was finished and I was thinking umm needs a little something else -and then I went and punched those circles on the corners, and looking at this picture now I wish I hadn't.
so if you wouldn't mind could you please just pretend they are not there, as believe me I did try to carefully pull the papers off to put on another card!
PS - I also have a confession to make you know I mentioned I had prescheduled my last post - well thankyou for those who congratulated me BUT the darn thing didn't work lol me and pooters just don't get along!

Hullo, Hullo,
Happy Saturday to you its the w w weekend and I have already been out as I went out for a meal with my old work mates last night - it was great to catch up with them all as I hadn't seen them for a while and managed to have a good ole belly laugh! It really does dust away all them cobwebs a good laugh don't you think?
I thought I would show you what I pop on the back of my cards as I only ever show you the front of them (obviously !!)
I love love love my little stamp and also have one which is more appropriate for christmas - they were from Elzybells but unfortunately I am teasing you as they are not available any more - sorry!
On to my card, this is actually a belated card (naughty naughty) and in fact she hasn't received it yet but I think I am super safe in saying that I doubt very much she will look at my blog and she will receive it later today as I will be dropping this off to my friend Heidi who's daughter it is for.
hope you had a fab day Amy xx
Yes I know I have used my Kraft cards again but everytime I go to make a card at the moment these are the ones my little chubbly wubbly fingers pick up!
Ihave used Su papers with my card along with papermania shimmer dots , nesties, elzybells sentiments and my fave flower punch.

Stamping Chic Sketch Challenge 3

Hullo, hullo,
Another black and white entry for today, I enjoyed making my other card and thought " Hey - why not another! "
I have made this card for the sketch over at Stamping Chic Sketch Challenge you really must pop over and see all the Dt cards they are super delicious - so much talent - I live in hope!
I have used mainly DB papers along with DB jewels and of course Clare Curd signature doodle stamps which I seem to be using all the time at the mo!
I thought I would add some faux stitching by hand and as you can see by the wonkiness just as well I didn't use my sewing machine as there would probably be a finger attached to this card!!!
Hope you like what you see and thank you for taking the time to comment on my cards as believe me they take me blooming ages sometimes and it's nice to know they are pleasing someone else other than myself.

Just Magnolia 1st Challenge!

Hullo Hullo,
A happy Sunday to you all and hope you are making good use of the sunshine!
I would of been on my bike but one of my little darlings has left it round a friends house - why he would want to be seen on my girly purple bike is beyond me he must of been desperate!
Still no bike so snuck into my craft room for the 2nd time this weekend - utter bliss!
If you haven't already hopped on to Just Magnolia Blog then you are in for a treat you really should hot foot it over and see the wonderful prize you could scoop yourself by joining in the challenge where they have a sketch for you. If you love Magnolias this is the place to be!
I loved doing this card but funnily enough it is nothing like I imagined it last night as I was going to be using Tilda with Sunflower - but woke up this morning and thought Nah I think I will dig Edwin out as I always struggle with boy/men cards so thought I would give it a go and am actually really pleased with the end result.I have paper pieced his tshirt and jeans love this technique.
I am off to link it to their blog and have a nosey at everybodys cards before I hange my washing out on this glorious day.
Have fun in the sunshine

Peek -a -boo!

Hullo, Hullo,
Yay I have grabbed a little me time while nobody noticed, not a soul, snuck in my craft room and hey presto returned with this - nobody knew I had gone!
This is my newest stamp which is a Rachel Ann Miller stamp called 'Peek a Bunny' oh how i love him, I have teamed him up with some papers from Imaginisce Fairest of them all collection and used my Labels 2 nesties.
The sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the flowers are layered up and the centre is punched from the papers with an Xcut punch.
I didn't know it at the time but over at Papertake Weekly the theme this week is pastels so this little bunny may well be entered i think.
Really have the bug now and want to return to my little haven and make more but first I am waiting for the 'ding dong' as we have an Indian Takeaway on order - oohhh I can taste it now I have ordered King Prawn Balti and can't wait!
Thank you again for all your lovely comments, you really make my day.
Enjoy your weekend hope the sunshine will return.

Stamp with Us Theme Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
Here is a little cute dragonfly which is fluttering away on my card for the Stamp With Us Theme Challenge isn't he cute he is from a retired SU set called Unfrogettable. I've only got to look at him and it makes me smile I think it's cos of his googly eyes.
I have teamed this up with papers from SU Confetti Simply Scrappin set left over from a double page layout I had done at my local scrap club.

This card didn't quite turn out how I had thought it would and am unsure if I really like the end result but it is growing on me, I have used my trusty Labels 1 (again) which I have matted and layered my image on and then randomly stamped my google eyed dragonfly on top half of card and coloured in with my copics.
The oval and scallop punch is SU as is also the sentiment, I was going to place this alongside my image but didn't look quite right so ended up stampin a couple of flowers from the set and yeah not really sure these look right!

But hey ho you got to show the good with the bad or is it the ugly?

Overall I think it turned out to be a rather bright fun and funky froggy cardy........

Let me know what you think, would love to hear your comments

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Hullo,Hullo,
How are you on this wet weekend!
I have managed to escape and make a card for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge
I have used my brand spanking new My Minds Eye "Grow" papers for this one, there are 9 papers in all in this collection and I love each and everyone of them, especially the one with tiny daisies on, that is my fave!
I have also used The Greetings Farm - Mermaid stamp, Don't you think she is so pretty with her pearls in her golden locks ?
I think I may have overdone it on the oval, it's looking a bit large to me - maybe I should have just cut around her instead , I'm a little undecided on this one - but I do love these colours together very fresh and spring like. I have also used my Flourish Quickutz Die and an oval punch for sentiment.
I'm not sure whether you can see but the 3 pearls in the corner are white but have managed to pick up the colour of the spots I have stuck them to.
Would love to chat more, but need to go and titivate myself and stick on the old war paint as it's party night tonight, although not feeling in party mode at the mo I am sure i will after a few bevvies!
Enjoy your evening

Wasp's Nest in my Attic!

Hullo Hullo,
I'm back with my "Wasp's Nest!"
I thought you might like to see a piccy of it as these really are a work of art.
It looks as though it is made of different shades of wood, it really is amazing and very soft to the touch - you can see where the wasp's go in and out.
This is nowhere near as big as the one we had before, it was absolutely "mahussive" really it was.
For some reason we always seem to get one and it drives me mad as they were getting in our ensuite somehow - i think it was through the little gap around the spotlights.
These were no ordinary wasps they were "mega super morphed over an inch" wasps.
No joke they were enourmous!
It was when they get a bit dopey and when I came in from work I would check our bathroom and there would literally be millions (ok about 20-30) lyin in the bath ,sink , swimming in the loo!
OOh it wa 'orrible!
Well I hope you have enjoyed my "show and tell"

Papertake weekly Challenge

Hullo Hullo,
I'm back after going AWOL :)
As much as I would love to be posting daily, it does seem to be physically impossible, whilst juggling kids, work and home life in general.
There are lots of sketches I am loving at the moment and here is my card for Dawny's sketch
I have kept mine pretty simple using my absolute favourite item at the moment Woodware Craft Cards - they are so lush I love the rustic feel about them and didn't want to cover it with paper as I love them in their Bare Skin! *chuckle*.
For my image I have used Elzybells Mini Messages - ALittle Hello and cut these out using my nestabilities Labels 2 .The sentiment and the daisy accents are all Elzybell Stamps.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and are spoilt with lots of Eggs or chocolate in one way or another - for me I am not really too fussed about the chocolate I would prefer a big FAT sausage roll -ummm I can taste it now!
Hope to be back over the weekend if I get a little me time and don't have too much of a hang -over as we have a 40th Birthday Bash to go to.
Enjoy yourself whatever you have planned.

Stamp with Fun Challenge!

Hullo Hullo,
I said I would be back later, didn't quite mean this late! sorry x These challenges are great for me as it is all in the name - a challenge! This is the Stamp with Fun 1st challenge and as far as I know a new blog, I liked the look of this sketch so decided to give it a go as I knew exactly what I had in mind. Yes you've guessed another Elzybell , I do seem to have quite a few of these so hopefully you will enjoy them as much as me. I have coloured my images in with copics and the papers are all Stampin Up products, I love these mix of colours. The oval punch is an EK Success and the punch on the Elzybell image is SU (sorry i have forgotten the name!) I am sure one of you lovely blog buddies will hopefully enlighten me lol :) Must fly I can hear my other half shouting "Is the kettle on?" - To which I reply - "NO BUT THE WASHING MACHINE, DISHWASHER, AND TUMBLE DRYER IS THAT I HAVE JUST FILLED!!!"
Is it only our house that when man comes in from work they lose all use of arms and legs???
Please tell me no I already have 2 of them and another 2 to go!!! Waaaagggh!

Forever Friends Bear

Hullo,Hullo,

Good morning to you all on this Sunny Monday -let's hope it stays :)

I have posted a Forever Friends card today using my Wild cart cartridge circle scallop card (wow that was a mouthful!) I lover these bears, although I didn't think I would actually need to purchase these stamps as I thought if I felt the need to have a FF card I would just buy one. Apart from the fact I was also thinking I would never get the colours right for this little fella, but on the whole I am rather pleased with the colouring on him. Again I have'nt put a lot on just a few flower punches accented with perfect pearls, a quickutz cookie cutter cut out of DB paper, with a tulle bow to top it!

Hope you like, may be back later pop by if you can

Better Late Than Never!

Hullo, Hullo,
I'm back for my 2nd post of the day -wahaay! This is my 2nd challenge, so glad I am blogging now as I love to participate, even when I didn't have my blog I would make the cards - it's so much fun, all the hard work is done for you apart from having to match papers waaggh I struggle with that also but i guess that comes with time...... I hope lol. This particular card is for Cupcake Challenges I have used Basic Grey Porcelain Paper Pad along with a truly scrumptious Gorguss Girl, my new Nestabilities (how did i survive without these!), a charm and my faithful "scrubby thingy" out of my body shop gift box! oops not forgetting the 3 little flower brads!. Not much too it but I like this one especially the colours, brown and pink, one of my fave combinations. I have left the sentiment off of here at the moment as was unsure which to use - I think I would probably stamp it just to the left of her head, or not at all - who knows!

Thank you so much for all your kind comments I really do enjoy reading them all, it gives me a little buzz even if me kids think I'm SAD that I stick cards on me blog!!! don't you just love em! Toodle pop xxx PS: Must remember to take piccy in daylight colours not too good and a little blurred :(

My 1st Challenge !

Hullo,Hullo,

I have finally got round to doing a challenge -there are soooo many I want to do as sketches I find are a great deal of help to me, as I don't know about you but it takes me forever to put a card together!

I particularly like this sketch and will use this a lot I think.

I have used papers and stickers from a "Simply Scrappin" set called Love Stories, and used my Cuttlebug folder "Swiss Dots" in the background to match in with the papers as it has tiny dots over it.

This challenge is for Stamp With Us and this is also their 1st challenge, if you like Stampin Up products this is the place for you as they have lots going on - take a peek.

I hope to be back later with maybe another challenge card. Fingers crossed. Toodle pop xxx

Cheeky Monkey!

Hullo, Hullo,
A cheeky monkey card for you today, I knew I had made a monkey card
at some point and when my mum bought round the cards for the photo
session there it was!

I was quite pleased how this had turned out as I had seen an editorial
somewhere on how to make this one.
Unfortunately, I should of done one of those side view shots, as from the
front you can't really tell but it is scored and folder so it has a kind of 3D
effect if you see what I mean.
Sorry if anybody out there knows the name please remind me -thanks x
I have used a Stampendous stamp, along with doodlebug papers, and
Quickutz Alphabet Exotic (i love this alphabet - great for holiday headings
for scrapbooking!)
If your not crafting - I hope your enjoying the sunshine, my washing is lol :)

Relax!

Hullo,Hullo,
I can't believe it's Friday already, it comes round so quick.
I feel really tired this week so picked this card today as this
will be me later - once i've sorted dinner, washing, clearing up..........
and all the other endless list of things to do, once I get in.
I have used the paper nation decoupage for this card, along with a Cuttlebug
Alphabet - Hippie Chick. and that's about it - almost forgot a little pink tinge
of ink on the edges.
There are lots of sketches out there that I think I might attempt this weekend
hopefully if I get a spare min.
Beware! my two cyber doctor friends - you know who you are, you may be
getting a frantic call re connecting sketches to other blogs!!!
Have yourselves a super weekend, and thank you for my comments!

Baaaaaa.. Baaaaa

Hullo, Hullo,
Please excuse the title of this post as it was my sad impression of a sheep!
This little sheep I have decided to call "Shaun" because he so reminds me of
the little sheep character in all the "Wallace and Gromit" films - do you get me?
All my kids loved Wallace and Gromit so I have seen them all many times.
This card is another one Kim Fee demonstrated on a class at Craftsulove and I love it!
(Thanks Kim!)
On the front I have had a lil go at the 'ole stitching and yeah I think it looks cool!

As you open up the ribbon "Ta Dah!" - a little secret message appears!
What a great one too!
I gave this card to my mum for one of her birthday's and luckily my mum has
kept all my cards so yeah since starting the blog I have been calling them in for
a little photo session .
When she brought them round I was like "Did I make that?"
(you know the dodgy ones she had put at the back)
And yeah - apparently I did (I was blindfolded -surely?)
Till next time

Tilda with cupcake - yum !

Hullo, Hullo,

I have a card for you today using a Tilda with a tiny little muffin she has made,

I love this Tilda!

I seem to have accumulated a few now, which I am surprised about as when I

first saw them, when they had their wider jaw line I wasn't that keen as

they reminded me of a "moomin",

Since the jaws got smaller, lots have come home with me.

That is the disadvantage (yes there is one believe it or not) working in a craft shop.

I have a little pile by the side of my desk of craft items that I chop and change

throughout the week.

These are items I think I need - honestly I don't need - I want!!

My little craft room is full to the brim with items that haven't even come out of their packaging

hence the reason of starting my blog so I can brush the dust off and use.
Have a lovely day and BEWARE of all those fools out there

PS: I did get the style of this card from a fellow blogger a long time ago before I ventured
into blog land, unfortunatley can't remember who.... if it's you thankyou x
