Now before you say I've seen this card!!
Yes you have, well the front panel anyway!
It was my friend Caz's special 40th Birthday in the week and I had decided to make her an extra special keepsake.
Unfortunately me being me decided to make it at 9.30 the evening before the big day!! so to save myself a little time I decided to use part of a card I had made previously for the front image and then followed the same colourway to complement the rest which is a box card or is it a book card?
Using my favourite Kraft card of course
If I can do it on my first attempt anybody can lol x
I have used the martha stewart patp cherish punch - love it!!
As you open the ribbons this is what is inside a lovely accordian style frame, unfortunately you can't see all the glitter on the frame from these pics they are slightly blurred -sorry!

I have used lots of dies, a magnolia lace border, marianne doilly die, SU sizzix embossed butterflies and flower die.
Lastly this is the back of the special card using a magnolia lacy tag die and more of those lovely butterflies.

I first saw one of these cards on Rach's blog and she had kindly linked to the tutorial she made hers from, you really must give it a go they are fun to make and a real wow factor.
I did say to Caz well now you've seen it can I have it back ?
I was joking of course and the answer was no so i guess i will just have to make another!

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful gift (tis more than a card) to be treasured. I do fancy trying one of these but I know I'm rubbish at this sort of thing.
Love the soft and pretty colours and the kraft too.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeletelove love love it, you clever little sausage, so pretty, bet Caz loved it.
I had to laugh when I read that you had asked for it back, because that is exactly what I did (except I didn't ask for it back, I just sort of took it back) lol. I made one of these for Andy's B'day gift, and after he had taken his pressie out I sort of snuck it back (call it re-cycling) rotfl chances are it could have gone in the bin, and there was NO WAY I was going to let that happen lol.
As for your painting, try tester pots (much cheaper than painting the whole room)lol.
hugs
