What A Beautiful Day!!

Hullo, Hullo,
You know what they say about rain..... Nice weather for ducks!
Lets face we had plenty of rain this morning considering it was mean't to be a scorcher!
Well look who visited our garden this afternoon - a duck!
Unfortunately a bit worse for wear duck, she had some feathers missing from her back and some from her neck and seemed a little bit muddy.
At first sight I wondered if she had been run over as she was limping a little, my neighbour Mary said she would ring the Swan Sanctuary as they are local and the man came to collect her and explained that at this time of year Male Ducks do tend to get a bit randy (ooh er!)which results in lots of feather plucking and hence the reason she was walking like John Wayne!!
He did assure us she would make a full recovery so I do feel we have done a good deed for the day which makes you feel great!

I did manage to make a card after the Duck saga and used the fab sketch from Sketch Saturday and just had to use my freshly purchased Nora she just has to be the cutest CC design ever I love her! As soon as I got her I knew I had to use my Magnolia background stamp and I am pleased with the result she looks like she hasn't a care in the world don't you think?
Unfortunately it was late in the day so pic is a little dark

There is lots of stickles on the flowers and butterflies and sparkle on the papermania shimmer dots, I tried to capture this here and as you can see failed miserably!!!
I will also be entering my card for Simon Say's as the challenge this week is Things with wings and I spy 3 butterflies on my card.
Hope you have had a lovely weekend and if you run the marathon you deserve that medal cos you must be stark raving mad!!!
I break out in a sweat just watching I definitely don't have enough puff for that sport!
Enjoy your evening!

My Puddy Tat Card!

Hullo, Hullo,
After seeing Fizzie trying to steal the limelight on my last post, it reminded me I had a fab Penny Black stamp which I hadn't yet used, you know one of them moments when you have to buy that stamp because there will be a world shortage and there won't be any left for you - sound familiar?
Well this was one of those stamps and here I am using it for the first time even though I have owned it a couple of months!!
I coloured my image first, it is quite a large stamp so takes up most of the card. The papers are Magnolia and luckily matched my image and I finished it off with a Prima flower with added stickles for a little sparkle!
I had made this for fun but after having a look around Blogland I will be entering it for the following challenges
Magical Crafts = something for the girls
Totally papercraft Challenge - Spring
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Happy Birthday
Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather we are experiencing and long may it last!

Lil Mermaid!

Hullo, Hullo,
What a glorious day it was yesterday the sun was out, gardening was needed to be done and not a roaring plane in sight!!!
It was absolute bliss especially as we are right next to the flight path and you can bet your life as soon as you get a lovely sunny day they will be taking off across our garden. Obviously we are used to it now but it made a lovely change to have a clear sky.
It was too lovely to be in my craft room but I did manage a quickie last night using a sketch from CPS which was last weeks I believe!! (Doh!)
I did try to photograph this around 8pm last night but my pussy cat Fizzie kept trying to steal the lime light.........

Isn't she sweet!
I give up in the end and decided to have a go this morning while nobody was about.
I have used my Anya Stamp along with retired SU papers, real shame I love these ones really should of stocked up! Card candy, SU circle sentiment and some lovely pink sparkly gems in her hair.
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
Allsorts - stitches
Sweet Stampin - Stitches
ABC challenge - Sparkle
Anyone for Anya - Sweet as sugar
Hope you like it!

Stamp With Us Sketch Challenge!

Hullo, Hullo,
It's so glum today :(, Mr Sunshine keeps trying to pop his head out here, so I thought I would brighten you up with rather a bright card along with a few cocktails to get you in the Summery Holiday feel - I sure could sink one of those just now, but would also have to be beside a pool with the heat bearing down on my dry old wrinkly white skin!!!
I have followed the sketch over at Stamp with Us and used SU Cheers stamp set along with SU papers and SU markers, the postage stamp die is the one that came with my Cuttlebug machine.
Unfortunately I managed to get some ink in the top right hand corner it is sooooooooooooooooooo annoying when that happens isn't it!
I am trying to get back into frequent posting but seem to be doing a lot of blog hopping as everyone else seems to be making such lovely cards I can't stop looking!!!
Hope to be back soon and thanks for making my blog hopping enjoyable!

No More Rain Please!!

Hullo, Hullo,
Happy Easter to you all, have you had your obligatory chocolate for breakfast?
My youngest is sitting here "munching" his way through a bag of "Munchies" he was very kind though he did offer me one which is very rare for him!!
Is it just me in thinking that the April Showers have come early, I mean I know it is April but surely they don't normally start this soon, come on Mr Sunshine please show an appearance today - please.
I'm still not up to much as I am still very chesty, I had so much planned to be getting on with this Easter and have not been up to any of it so getting fed up now.
At least the nose has stopped dripping so have managed to put together another card using the sketch over at Basic Grey Challenge, you need to use at least one Basic Grey item, I have used some odd scraps of paper, unfortunately I can't remember what collection!!
For my flowers I have used my Daisy punches and just slightly pinched the petals together so they give a little dimension, finished off with Card Candy centres.
Lots of stamping on my card today the green and the caramel card was plain so I stamped my design onto them and inked the edges trying to achieve a slightly rustic feel to the card, ( I did say trying!lol)
Over at Cute Card Thursday they want to see an Oval Shape on your card so that was the sentiment sorted!! It is a SU stamp and matching punches that I have used.
Well as I type Mr Sunshine has listened to me and has popped his head out to say Hullo, whether he stays for the day is a different matter!
Whatever you may be doing today, have a good one and I will see you soon!

Sweet lil puddy tat!

Hullo, Hullo,
Apologies for lack of blogging again but no sooner do I get myself up and running, I then go and get the dreaded lurgy, I'm not normally one for getting ill (she say's) but when I do, I get it bad, probably doesn't help being an Asthma sufferer as once it takes a hold of your chest your doomed, only normally happens once a year so let's hope that's it for 2010!!
I have recently purchased a few of the Lili of the Valley stamps and this oh so sweet puddy tat is one of them, isn't she lovely!!!
I have used SU papers, a Cuttlebug Butterfly (I never knew I had!) amazing what you find when your not looking lots of glitter and punches.
I have used the fab sketch over at Truly Scrumptious with has an added theme of 'Fly Away' hence the butterflies as obviously cat's do not fly!
I will also be entering my card into
Colour Create - pastels
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Well hope you have a lovely Easter and the Easter Bunny brings you lots of choc!!
I still have to go get my eggs as haven't been out all week, hope you have left me some it will most probably cost me a fortune as the most expensive ones will probably be left!
