Skateboarder Ian!

Well if my memory serves me rightly i think this is what this little chap is called!!
I do like him especially as he is so easy to colour and he was within arms reach on my desk as he had not been put away since the last time!!
I made the card for no particular reason but I am sure it will come in handy some when, and have since found 3 challenges I can enter him into - Yippee!
Charisma Cardz - boy oh boy
cards for men - no paper
simon say's - stars and stripes
I do normally as a rule find a sketch or theme and base my card around that but today I just decided to have a play as the weather has been either sun or glum!
Typical now as the bbq is roaring it keeps trying to spit, so guess i had best get my washing in!!

Bee-utiful!!

Hullo , Hullo,
I did say I would be back with a card a little less Christmassey so here it is not a hint of Christmas anywhere apart from the sparkle of course!
"Whilst Blog Hopping" I came across this lovely summery card by my friend Nicki and she had followed a great sketch from Truly Scrumptious so I thought I would join in as she had got me in a summery mood and I used my new Penny Black stamp "Bee Costume"which was a bargain from a friend at a craft sale.
I wish It was like summer here today, I don't know about you but where I am it was blooming windy!!
This card also fits nicely into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge you can choose 4 items from the buffet list to make your card, I have chosen the items, twine, patterned paper, charm and 3 gems.
I will also be entering my card into the following challenges( wish I had the time to enter more)
The Pink Elephant challenge - pink orange and aqua
OOH la la creations - bling it on
cupcake craft challenge - something new
Stamp something - anything goes
simply create - use your punches
Well I am off for a nice relaxing evening in front of the TV tonight just chilling as this dreaded lurgy seems to be trying to take me over yet again!!
Bye for now

Snow Kiss!

Hullo, Hullo,
Oh how I love this stamp "Snow Kiss" Penny Black isn't it so cute!
I made this card at the weekend and keep trying to add to it but every time I try it just doesn't look right so I have left it as it is.
Lots and lots of stickles on this one but you will have to look closely, it twinkles lovely in the flesh!
Looking at the polar bear now I am wondering what he would look like with white flower soft hmmm now there's a thought, maybe I will have to experiment.
Well, I have been awake since silly o'clock as I started coughing and coughing and coughing and coughing and then that was it I was wide awake so then I start thinking Waaaagh Christmas!
Not done a blooming thing yet haven't even got any decs up I just really can't get in the mood but need to get a groove on and get in the mood as lots and lots to do especially as one of my son's arrived on 23rd December so also have a birthday to think about!! aaaggghhhh!!!
Right that is enough of panic mode, must get on and actually action my thoughts instead of sitting here waffling!!
I will be entering my card into the following challenges

Happy Birthday Reece!!

Hullo,Hullo,
Happy Saturday to you all!
I had got up extra early this morning to make a card for my son as I did intend to make it last night ( I know nothing like last minute!!!), but in my defence we had friends drop in and they ending up staying the evening.
I checked out the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and my card was born!!!
I have used this Penny Black stamp before it is terrific for those hard to make cards don't you think ?
You could use it for absolutely anything, just literally pop whatever message you would like on the tag and hey presto! job done.
I have used the Martha Stewart Happy Birthday Deep Edger for the message and also my Martha Stewart icicle border punch which I used to mimick flames as the mouse is speeding along - do you think it works?
I will also be entering my card into
Cute card Thursday - texting crazy
Paper Play - anything goes
Secret crafter - hot wheels
Well after a disappointing day as his new BMX frame did not arrive as expected , hopefully we will enjoy a nice birthday meal, well actually I know we will as I'm not cooking!!!!!!
Enjoy your weekend whatever you may be up to.

What A Beautiful Day!!

Hullo, Hullo,
You know what they say about rain..... Nice weather for ducks!
Lets face we had plenty of rain this morning considering it was mean't to be a scorcher!
Well look who visited our garden this afternoon - a duck!
Unfortunately a bit worse for wear duck, she had some feathers missing from her back and some from her neck and seemed a little bit muddy.
At first sight I wondered if she had been run over as she was limping a little, my neighbour Mary said she would ring the Swan Sanctuary as they are local and the man came to collect her and explained that at this time of year Male Ducks do tend to get a bit randy (ooh er!)which results in lots of feather plucking and hence the reason she was walking like John Wayne!!
He did assure us she would make a full recovery so I do feel we have done a good deed for the day which makes you feel great!

I did manage to make a card after the Duck saga and used the fab sketch from Sketch Saturday and just had to use my freshly purchased Nora she just has to be the cutest CC design ever I love her! As soon as I got her I knew I had to use my Magnolia background stamp and I am pleased with the result she looks like she hasn't a care in the world don't you think?
Unfortunately it was late in the day so pic is a little dark

There is lots of stickles on the flowers and butterflies and sparkle on the papermania shimmer dots, I tried to capture this here and as you can see failed miserably!!!
I will also be entering my card for Simon Say's as the challenge this week is Things with wings and I spy 3 butterflies on my card.
Hope you have had a lovely weekend and if you run the marathon you deserve that medal cos you must be stark raving mad!!!
I break out in a sweat just watching I definitely don't have enough puff for that sport!
Enjoy your evening!

My Puddy Tat Card!

Hullo, Hullo,
After seeing Fizzie trying to steal the limelight on my last post, it reminded me I had a fab Penny Black stamp which I hadn't yet used, you know one of them moments when you have to buy that stamp because there will be a world shortage and there won't be any left for you - sound familiar?
Well this was one of those stamps and here I am using it for the first time even though I have owned it a couple of months!!
I coloured my image first, it is quite a large stamp so takes up most of the card. The papers are Magnolia and luckily matched my image and I finished it off with a Prima flower with added stickles for a little sparkle!
I had made this for fun but after having a look around Blogland I will be entering it for the following challenges
Magical Crafts = something for the girls
Totally papercraft Challenge - Spring
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Happy Birthday
Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather we are experiencing and long may it last!

Sunglasses Needed!!

Hullo, Hullo,
Please don't say I didn't warn you it is a little bright!!
The papers are MME Colourful christmas so I went with it and colourful you got!!
I love, love, love these papers and didn't really want to give them the chop but I did and used them to do the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday and I enjoyed it thoroughly even if it was a minute here and a couple of minutes there as I have found myself doing the Taxi service today for the kids!!!
Here is the wonderful sketch I will certainly be using this one again

I hope you like what I produced and hope to be back over the weekend.

Who's a Silly Billy?

Hull, Hullo,
I said I would be back with another Anya and here I am feeling a little silly now!!
I made this card a couple of days ago from a sketch over at Sketch and Stash challenge blog, but when I went to upload to show all you lovelies - Do you think I could remember where I saw the sketch ?
Note to ones self "write down where the sketch is from!"
Ooh how frustrating it was hunting it down as this was the 1st time I had stumbled across this challenge blog, and when I did finally find it they had moved on to the next sketch!!!
Waaaaaaggghhhh :) what a donut I am or as my kids would say "DUFUS !!"
Anyway I hope you like my card I have used my Kohinoor pencils and copics for the fleshy bits!!
Lots of sparkle on my card but alas I am no David Bailey!!!
Oh well hope to be back tomorrow with the new sketch.
Thank you all for my lovely comments on my previous card - you obviously love Anyas as much as me x

One Card, Two Challenges!

Hullo, Hullo,

Happy Monday to you, hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I managed to sneek a couple of challenges in at the weekend and this card in particular was made using the fab sketch from Secret Crafter and to my delight it also fits in with the Beach Theme over at Cupcake Craft this week, so lets just say it's a "double bubble" card for me!!

I have used my new Koh-i-norr pencils on Anya's hair and copics for the rest, I am rather pleased with her hair, not quite sure the camera has picked it up too well though:(
Hopefully on this shot you can just about see the stickles and glossy accents effect

Both sites have some beautifully made cards and if your struggling you are bound to find some inspiration for sure - go check them out!

Just a quickie today from me as I have work to get ready for and I am running late - do pop back tomorrow I have another Anya card to share with you!

Christmas in July!

Hullo, hullo,
I know, I know, I haven't gone mad Christmas is really in December please do not worry and panic.
The reason for my Crimbo card is for the super challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday and the prize this week is from Sally Ann over at Grab a Doodle so surely not one to be missed!!
This seemed really weird doing a Crimbo card, I mean I am not a very organized human being although I do try it just never happens and normally I am rushing in the last week of the run up to Christmas to get my cards done!!
So I am thinking to myself I may just throw the odd one in here and there so then I will not have the last minute rush - I hope you don't mind!!
I have taken my photo outside to try and pick up the sparkle from the fur on the adorable bears hats, I have also added pearls as berries on the holly - not a lot going on in this card but I think the image is fantastic and doesn' t really need a lot.
Hope you agree
Thank you for taking the time to leave me comments it really makes my day!!

Carols Sketch Fun challenge 9

Hullo, Hullo,
Whilst browsing through the fabulous Kath's Blog I stumbled across a sketch from Carol and this is what I ended up with!
I have finally used my twitterpatted papers from Imaginesce - these are exceptionally sweet and me did not want to chop! I lie actually I did chop into a piece when I made my Elzybell sheep card a little while ago but other than that they have been safely tucked away.
I absolutely love this magnolia with the ladybird, but it is one i have not purchased yet but my friend Heidi was nice enough to stamp me a couple until I get my mitts on one.
It's not my usual square card it is a umm non square card - sorry not very good at card sizes - silly me!
It seems great at the moment as every time I use paper with flowers on, I seem to have a punch that matches - YAY that makes me do a jig, I do like to match me flowers.
I did take the photo outside in the garden I was trying to pick up the glitter on the yellow centres of the flowers not sure if you can see but it is lovely and sparkly.
Do pop along to Carols blog as you can win a stamp set and some flowers if you are the chosen one!
Enjoy your weekend

PS - I have just looked back at my card and them "blooming" white flowers have made me fancy a fried egg!!!

Sketch Saturday Challenge 48

hullo hullo,
hope you have all had a good weekend - doesn't time fly when your having fun!
Before you know it it's Monday and back to work.
I have made my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge

It was all going well,I knew exactly what I had in mind and then I went overboard - ooh it is so annoying when that happens (or does it only happen to me I wonder!)
The card was finished and I was thinking umm needs a little something else -and then I went and punched those circles on the corners, and looking at this picture now I wish I hadn't.
so if you wouldn't mind could you please just pretend they are not there, as believe me I did try to carefully pull the papers off to put on another card!
PS - I also have a confession to make you know I mentioned I had prescheduled my last post - well thankyou for those who congratulated me BUT the darn thing didn't work lol me and pooters just don't get along!

Papertake weekly Challenge

Hullo Hullo,
I'm back after going AWOL :)
As much as I would love to be posting daily, it does seem to be physically impossible, whilst juggling kids, work and home life in general.
There are lots of sketches I am loving at the moment and here is my card for Dawny's sketch
I have kept mine pretty simple using my absolute favourite item at the moment Woodware Craft Cards - they are so lush I love the rustic feel about them and didn't want to cover it with paper as I love them in their Bare Skin! *chuckle*.
For my image I have used Elzybells Mini Messages - ALittle Hello and cut these out using my nestabilities Labels 2 .The sentiment and the daisy accents are all Elzybell Stamps.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and are spoilt with lots of Eggs or chocolate in one way or another - for me I am not really too fussed about the chocolate I would prefer a big FAT sausage roll -ummm I can taste it now!
Hope to be back over the weekend if I get a little me time and don't have too much of a hang -over as we have a 40th Birthday Bash to go to.
Enjoy yourself whatever you have planned.

Baaaaaa.. Baaaaa

Hullo, Hullo,
Please excuse the title of this post as it was my sad impression of a sheep!
This little sheep I have decided to call "Shaun" because he so reminds me of
the little sheep character in all the "Wallace and Gromit" films - do you get me?
All my kids loved Wallace and Gromit so I have seen them all many times.
This card is another one Kim Fee demonstrated on a class at Craftsulove and I love it!
(Thanks Kim!)
On the front I have had a lil go at the 'ole stitching and yeah I think it looks cool!

As you open up the ribbon "Ta Dah!" - a little secret message appears!
What a great one too!
I gave this card to my mum for one of her birthday's and luckily my mum has
kept all my cards so yeah since starting the blog I have been calling them in for
a little photo session .
When she brought them round I was like "Did I make that?"
(you know the dodgy ones she had put at the back)
And yeah - apparently I did (I was blindfolded -surely?)
Till next time
