I hope you have enjoyed your bank holiday weekend despite the downpours!!
We mustn't grumble I suppose as we have been spoilt with the weather so far.
I have managed to fit a card into my hectic weekend which involved a trip to Ikea!! (I love that place) unfortunately the other half doesn't so it was literally list made, in as soon as it opened grab the items we needed and out.
I didn't even get to sniff a swedish meatball we were that quick.
Anyway enough of my waffle, I have made a baby card for a friend who has had a baby girl believe it or not lol! (slight giveaway with the pinkness!)
I love love love this sketch which is over at Sketch Saturday and they have a fab prize you really must go and see, I would love to get my mitts on it as sadly do not own any go take a look!!
I have used a very old Quickutz Revolution flower set here,(I didn't use the flowers) I thought you might like a close up of the leaves as they have great detail on them
The gorgeous little Forever Friend bear wrapped in a nappy has been paper pieced with the My Minds Eye papers to coordinate with the rest of the card.
I have had these papers quite sometime and really did not want to use them as they are so scrummy but pleased I did as they look lovely together.
I will also be entering my card into the following challenges
Allsorts - animal
Incy Wincy - anything goes
Forever friends - flowers or a nature theme
So much to do lately and decorating on the go so hope to be back whenever I have a spare moment!
Toodlepop!

Oh Suzie,
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, glad you used your fab papers...I hate using me fav ones too, but in the end you just have to.
I LOVE Ikea too, I have to travel 2 hours to get the "Sveedish Meata balls", but I try to go about every two years. All my Craft furniture (and I have alot) is from their Trofast range.....It's fab.
Well done with this beautiful card. Debbiexx

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteanother very pretty card, luvvvvv the paper, no wonder you did not want to cut in to it lol, (as you know I love PINK with a passion). Hubby has been trying (for ages) to get me to pull out my larder cupboard, so that we can have a double (amercian style) fridge/frezzer in the kitchen. I have now said o.k. but there is one condition, that I can have a PINK one. Well after almost choking on his hot cup of tea, it was a very loud NO, I did try and explain to him that it would go with the pink cups, pink tea towels and other pink bits and pieces, but he would not budge on his NO, so for the time being (at least) we am staying with our larder lol. I am also planning a trip to Ikea as I want some of those metal strip thingis (I think that they are magnetic) that you can put your punches on, but like your hubby, mine will want to fly round, I'm lucky if my feet touch the ground lol.
look forward to seeing some more of your beautiful creations.
Hugs
