Hullo, Hullo, Yet another scorcher for us today doesn't it make you feel so alive and well when the sun is out it really puts a smile on my chops!! Although I did just want to laze in the garden today, I did allow myself a few mins in my craft room to make a card, well I should have been tidying it really - but wheres the fun in that!! I do love my Elzybells images and as soon as I saw the sketch over at Sketch Saturday I knew just the stamps I was gonna use and am pleased how it turned out. I managed to sneak some Kraft card into my design as I haven't used it for a while and was getting withdrawal symptoms as I loves this stuff. I also used my twill ribbon which has been sitting gathering dust and not quite sure why as I loves that too. Lots of papermania shimmer dots have been used and you can just see them sparkling in the sun, they are also dotted along the SU border punch if you look carefully. Well, I braved aerobics this morning and managed to come out alive even though I came out looking like Tom Tom Tomato and sweating like an Oink!!! I caught myself in the window yesterday whilst wearing a vest in the garden and was not too pleased with the rubber ring that seems to have grown around my waist, so exercise it is and cutting down on bread (my downfall) if I want to be wearing a bikini on hols. I will also be entering my card for
Hullo, Hullo, Well hopefully this is working as I have tried to fathom this out myself!!! Doh!!! So the rotten blighters have me on strike as they didn't want to help last night!! I can't say I blame them really it was a lovely evening and we didn't get in from the garden until late and being the softie that I am will probably forget I am on a strike when I phase into my mother/cleaner/wifey/ general dogs body mode - does it sound familiar!! lol x Anyway I had made a card and it was using the scraps from my last card as they were still on my desk, waste not want not !! The challenge over at Penny Black this week is "Flowers" and as I had picked this bargain up at a local craft sale recently I thought I would use it as it fitted the bill nicely. I seem to be in paper piece mode at the moment so that is exactly what I did with the flowers and finished off with some stickles and jewels to embelish and make nice and sparkly! The grassy effect at the bottom was made with my Martha Stewart "Icicle" border punch , I think it kinda looks grassy too - what do ya think? The challenge over at Papertake Weekly is Say it with flowers so I will enter my card there too. I have been busy planting flowers today as it would be rude not to go and hang out in the garden with all this lovely sunshine we are having, hope you are enjoying the weather wherever you may be. Toodle pop! xxxx PS. thank you for my lovely comments re my drama!!!! xxxx
I am really loving these papers at the moment - My Minds Eye Quite Contrary Collection they were still on my desk so naturally I used them again!
There is a fantastic sketch over at Friday Sketchers which I have used and lots of fun and frolics to be had as it is there 2 year Anniversary so they are running a blog hop, lots and lots of prizes to be won if you visit each and everyone of them they all have their own blog candy!!
As the title suggests I will also be entering my card into the following challenges
Hullo, Hullo, I hope you have enjoyed your bank holiday weekend despite the downpours!! We mustn't grumble I suppose as we have been spoilt with the weather so far. I have managed to fit a card into my hectic weekend which involved a trip to Ikea!! (I love that place) unfortunately the other half doesn't so it was literally list made, in as soon as it opened grab the items we needed and out. I didn't even get to sniff a swedish meatball we were that quick. Anyway enough of my waffle, I have made a baby card for a friend who has had a baby girl believe it or not lol! (slight giveaway with the pinkness!) I love love love this sketch which is over at Sketch Saturday and they have a fab prize you really must go and see, I would love to get my mitts on it as sadly do not own any go take a look!! I have used a very old Quickutz Revolution flower set here,(I didn't use the flowers) I thought you might like a close up of the leaves as they have great detail on them
The gorgeous little Forever Friend bear wrapped in a nappy has been paper pieced with the My Minds Eye papers to coordinate with the rest of the card.
I have had these papers quite sometime and really did not want to use them as they are so scrummy but pleased I did as they look lovely together.
I will also be entering my card into the following challenges
I'm a keen collector of crafting materials that needs to start using them instead of stroking them!!! So after being an avid blog hopper for some time and seeing all of the wonderful creations in blog land I am finally going to open some packets and ink some stamps!
