Fave Five of 2011!!

Happy New Years Eve to you, are you getting excited about celebrating tonight?

Where has this year gone to, it's absolutely flown by for me that's for sure!!

Here are my fave Five cards of 2011 that i am joining in with the lovely Debby

she does this every year and you really must pop by to see her as she makes the most wonderful cards!

1st up is a heavily die cut and punch card which i made for my lovely mum x

Well yes one of the many elzybells i have used with a bit of paper piecing going on and those gorgeous little clouds - so sweet!

I really like how this turned out - using Kraft again!!!

Oh and again lol!!!

this may be the first time i tried colouring on Kraft, really like this affect

And last but no means least another one which i made for my mum and one of my first attempts at distress inks!

Note to oneself to spend more time practicing with the inks lol x

Bo Bunny Card and FREE POSTAGE ALERT!!!

Hullo, hullo,

Hope you all survived the Christmas Festivities and that Santa brought you everything you wanted!!

We had a lovely time but have to say I am glad it's over, I do Christmas Day and Boxing Day for the family and although I enjoy it when it's here, I absolutely hate the run up to it I get so stressed!!!

I have eaten far too much and feel very uncomfortable but tell myself well If I eat a little more I may feel better!

Where's the logic in that!!

Not sure If I should be posting Crimbo cards as it has gone, lol but here is one that I made for a Create and Take at work who have FREE POSTAGE until 3rd January so if you did fancy a bit of retail therapy or were lucky enough to receive CRAFTSULOVE vouchers for Christmas now's the chance to spend and save on postage!!

Sorry you had just piccies and no words for a couple of days!!

Silly, stupid, daft bat old me obviously pressed a wrong button and managed to turn my blog into something I knew nothing about!! Doh what a dingbat I am!!

This was until Caz came to the rescue and worked her magic within about 2 nano seconds - what a fool I felt!!

So onto the piccie this was a photo taken from my bedroom window the other morning, unfortunately it didn't pick up well in the photo but just above the trees it was a lovely blue and looked like the sea it was amazing!!
Just a little card that took minutes to make and yes I have used an Elzybell again!!

Kraft Galore!

Hi de hi!

Lots of Kraft card on this one I just can't leave the stuff alone!

It is definitely the go to cardstock for me , slowly I will try and wean myself off, it will be difficult though.

This is a very simple card and one i think you could get away with for the men even if it does have a little sparkle!

I have used the crafts too polka dots folder , nestabilities labels 13, Kars Small christmas tree stamp along with personal impressions Silent night sentiment set.

I just love the colours of the ribbon together.

Good Morning!

Ooh what a chilly one it was last night, lets hope that snow is not coming just yet,Christmas Eve would be nice - how magical that would be!!

Anyway still trying to get in the Crimbo mode but have to say I am struggling at the mo , I do miss the kids being younger and the excitement you have with them, now they are older it's different and a lot more expensive!! lol

Well here is Frosty the snowman, well that's what i have named this little Quickutz fella and he made a nice simple card for a recent create and take at work.

Colouring on Kraft Card

Hi Peeps!

Thought I would have a try at colouring on Kraft card, as you can see need lots more practice but was quite pleased with the result will definitely give it another shot.

Lots of sparkle and bling on this card, slowly getting into the christmas spirit and the christmas card pile is growing slowly! Yay!

Well , off to look around for some sketches for my other cards but doubt i will get a chance to make any today - house looks like a bomb has gone off!!

I HATE HOUSEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....Get your Elzybells out!!!

Well this motto applies probably only to me as I do own most of these stamps and the majority of the time whether it be a sentiment or image you will normally see something from Elzybells on my cards!!

These gorgeous little robins are never too far away and i think they are so damn cute!

There was a very unusual sketch over at Secret Crafter this Saturday and I thought this was a little challenge that needed to be solved, I was originally going to use my Noel Magnolia stamp for this and then light bulb moment thought "Nah" gonna use my little dicky birds!

Lots of glamour dust on this one and it truly sparkles but you will have to take my word for it i am afraid.

Also lots and lots of snowflakes to finish it off i felt it needed a little something extra,

Hullo, Hullo,

Yet another crimbo card from me again, I think i should best stick to these then hopefully I will have some done in time for the big day!!

Just can't seem to get into Christmas mode at all, I need to be injected with some Christmas spirit to get me in the mood!!

This is an old Stampendous stamp but i just love his googly eyes to me it seems as though he has had a "sherbert or two" I can just imagine him leaving a wiggly trail trying to deliver his pressies having a little night cap at every stop! hee hee

Kraft card used again of course!! It would be rude not to!

I have also used a fab Martha Stewart all around the page punch Deco Flowers I have lots of these type punches and absolutely love them so I now must use the buggers!!

No good keep oohing and ahhing and letting them gather dust they want to come out and play!

Well let me tell you this little fella has got two more presents than i have got i haven't even started! HELP!

Another Tilda!

Good Morning!!!
How are you today ! Have you woken up with va va voom like me!! (normally fades) but at the
moment I am feeling very positive!
We have recently got 6 chickens so I am normally up to feed them and tell them how special they are as they lay me scrum diddly-umptious eggs, I have got over the fact now that when they lay me some eggs i do not actually have to eat them all there and then just cos they are fresh! lolx
Another long gap between cards I am afraid, i am not getting any time to do much crafting as my mum is still not right bless her but hopefully - everything crossed this may be her time as the doctors and nurses etc seem to have stepped up a notch this week.
Well todays card is another Tilda , I don't use them for months and then 2 come along side by side, I really do love this one it is so sweet!!
You can't see very well the texture of the snowball but i have used some snowy stuff and it looks fab, I kept playing around with this card trying to add more but i struggled i think it's because i feel guilty playing in my room at the moment and just want to get the job done and get out!

Crimbo Card!!

A slightly more pleasing card on the eye especially after the last one eh Tracy! hee hee! (She is a Magnolia lover so me knows this one will please her!)

I actually love this little Tilda too and the first time she has seen ink and yet she is a year old!! Bless her!

Have you spotted I managed to pop an Elzybell in there too!

Yep I am afraid Elzybells will never be forgotten all the time I am living and breathing that is for sure!!

Do you like the lil Robin he so cute!

I think he would like a kiss from Tilda as he has mistletoe but i think the poor little cow is clinging on for life as she is sitting on the window sill OUTSIDE and for all we know it could be 7 stories up in a block of flats!!! lol x

But don't you worry cos I will be looking out for her with my "Special Eye!"

Good Morning!!

A little bit damp here this morning as we had rain last night and we actually had the heating on for the first time it was like a sauna this morning as i forgot to turn it off! OOps!

Well a new card today even if it is a little bit busy(not sure about this one)

The papers are Doodlebug and I love the print, but it is just so hard to use on a card as there is so much going on- maybe I should have just used a tiny strip! lol

I have used my new Fiskars punch and I love it such a delicate scallop.

There is also lots of sparkle on this card but alas you cannot see it as usual !

My stamp is a little Elzybell I am still a big fan of these stamps even though they are no longer in production which is an awful shame.

Well must fly, off to see how my eldest got on in Bournemouth last night as it was his 21st and him and his mates went there to party and stay the night!!

Poor old Bournemouth is what I say!!

We did however have a lovely civilized evening the night before with family at a chinese restaurant and it was one price for "eat as much as you like"

So I Blooming well did!!

I could barely move - umm diets going well - NOT!

Hullo, Hullo,

So where do I start without boring you all!!!

Life has been busy busy busy (hectic sounds worse!)

Well finally my mum has left hospital yesterday!! Hoorah!

Still a long way to go but after being in there for soooo long, she was more than ready to go home. Bless her x

My father in law is now out of hospital too and is doing really well - another Hoorah!

Thank you to all who sent well wishes it is really kind of you sending all those positive vibes! (Get me eh! I sound like "Heaven!") lolx(Big Brother contestant - just incase you thought i had lost me marbles!)

Finally we can now try to get back to semi normality, I am so pleased we are now at this point as didn't fancy Christmas at the hospital and I am damn sure they did not want to spend it there either although they were both extremely well looked after.

Unfortunately the creative side of me didn't get an awful lot done at all, but I did manage to make a Christmas card using the Magnolia Noel stamp and used dotty paper or is it spotty?? (Now that's one to think about! lol)

This was made for a Create and Take at Craftsulove and all products are from there.

Flying by......

....with a birthday Hi!!!

This was the card I made for Geoff who entered the "naughty forties" recently!!

I have used the fab stamp from Penny Black called "Hedgehopper" , on the actual stamp it does have a trail of hearts floating out the back but I chose to use a birthday banner instead, I think it works quite well especially for those man cards!!

Just a quick visit from me today as unfortunately my mum is still in hospital and there hasn't been much progress and she is in a lot of pain. It is heart braking to see her as she is normally a very strong person.

Lovely and Lilac!!

Morning Peeps!!

It's not often I big up my cards but do confess I really like this one and it was made for my lovely Mum, who is in hospital at the moment with a fractured pelvis.

Unfortunately she tripped in my kitchen and dislocated her shoulder and had trouble walking - to cut a long story short she has been in pain ever since and we have now found out after numerous trips to the hosp that she has fractured her pelvis in two places!!

So I would like to wish her a speedy recovery and hope she is able to come home soon.

Can you believe no stamping on this card it is purely punches and dies.

I have used the MS ribbon loop patp, SU owl punch and SU branch, MS hydrangea punch for the lil flowers and the Magnolia Fence.

Oops ! not to mention my lovely fluffy cloud punch by Fiskars.

Well I have a list that is never ending of things to do today and two birthdays this weekend my baby is going to be 15!!!

Eek! another year and I will have no children at school that will be very weird for me!!

Sunshine and flowers!

Good Morning!!

Let's hope our day is filled with sunshine today instead of the wet stuff that seems to continually drop from the sky at the moment, i am getting a little fed up of shouting up there to turn the blooming tap off!!!

A little card to share with you that was made for Create and Take last Friday at Craftsulove.

It was made using this little stamp set from Craftsulove and it is actually called Sunshine and flowers! Isn't it a lovely little sentiment.

Born To Be Wild!!!

Get your motor running, Head out on the highway, looking for adventure in whatever comes our way,Yeah darling gonna make it happen............OK OK enough of the singing but as soon as I made this card I just kept singing(wailing) this song! lol x I have used the fab Penny black stamp which is actually called Born Wild and the Papermania Running Stitch punch as thought it rather resembled a road!!

As I had made a little hedgie card, I thought you might like to see who visited us for a couple of days last week - lookie how sweet is this little hedgie!!

I named her Tilly but have been informed by the kids that it may be a little Tommy as he/she kept slipping off the plate and doing a roly poly and they may have well seen a lil winky!!

I have taken so many photos and spent a good couple of hours just sitting watching as Tilly/Tommy is so cute and oh so fast I couldn't believe how quick they manouvre
Look at the little legs -Ahhhhhh so sweet!!

you can tell how small she is as this is an old side plate!

Alas we haven't seen her since I do hope he/she has been reunited with her mummy as the night before we saw her we heard a rustling in the bushes and a rather large mummy hedgehog trotted around the garden, I did reach for the camera but unfortunately it just came out black - apparently thats what happens when it is 10.30pm at night and pitch black -Doh!!!

I know it's been ages since I blogged but here I am with a bit of a pink overloaded card for sure!!!

My favouritest ever hanglar stamp, well my only hanglar stamp to be fair it came in a set and i love it!!
The inside was also decorated to coordinate with the front and was made for a special friend Tracy who celebrated her birthday this week.

I have lots of birthdays this month and also a birthday that was missed - oops naughty me !!!

Goodie or Baddie?

Good Morning!!

Well as the title of this post suggests "goodie or baddie?"

I am unsure whether or not this card really works but it's growing on me - just!!

Not a lot to say about it really other than it's a forever friends stamp and I have used my new MFT film strip die, isn't it fab!!

These dies are my new addiction at the moment and i still have lots I haven't used yet but seem to keep buying more!!

Fathers Day Card!

Good Afternoon!!

A man card for you today I thought I had best start on the many Fathers Day cards I have to make so this is Number 1 using a very old sugar nellie image, in fact one of the few man/boy images I own so it does get aired a lot.

I have used the fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday and you can win a fab MFT voucher!! Woo hoo! they do the most fantastic dies so my fingers are crossed!!

A quick post from me today as need to do some food shopping its rather like "old mother hubbard's kitchen" and with 3 young lads that eat non stop I had best get stocked up!!

Double pocket card!

Hullo, Hullo,

A new style card for me a "Double pocket card" with two little tags.

This was a first attempt and not as complicated as first thought so will definitely be making more - me likes these!!!

I have used the adorable Flowers for Mimi , Penny Black stamp , those little birdies are so tweet!! this has to be one of my favourites!

As the challenge this week was Doodling over at Penny Black Saturday you can see I have done lots of faux stitching and a few dots here and there!!
Here is a close up of the two little Doo hickey tags using Elzybells sentiments, I have used white organza and pink twine through the holes.

Absolutely smothered the edges of the card with stickles so it's lovely and sparkly!!

There is also a challenge over at Penny Black Blog which is using Fun Folds and there is a fab tutorial so will be trying that next for sure.

I will also be entering my card into Penny Black at Allsorts - favourites.
