Something New!!

Hullo, Hullo,
This is a first for me, as the title suggests I have tried something new and have now found another love!!
I frequently visit Dena's Stamping Corner and love all her cards she makes and admire her colouring (don't we all!)
Well, what a lovely surprise it was to see she had posted how she colours on her blog so I watched the tutorials and had a go myself and thoroughly enjoyed it, lots of room for improvement of course but was pleased with my first attempt at distress inks.
I can definitely see why a lot of you lovely ladies use this product and will definitely be adding a few to my collection.
Well, my New Years Resolutions are not going too well, I have bought some crafting goodies since Christmas lol, i was consciously trying to restrain myself and start to use all my unused items but there are so many things to tempt me at the moment, it is very hard!!
I have my birthday to look forward to on Sunday and celebrations have started already firstly by being a "Lady who Lunches" today with friends, I couldn't believe how many "Ladies that Lunch" there were, it was absolutely heaving and a great atmosphere!
I probably stink now though as I did have garlic King prawns - one of my all time faves!
I will be out tomorrow night and then out on Sunday, phew it is gonna be tiring and then I will wonder why I can't get in my size 8 jeans! (yeah right!) on Monday!
I will be entering my card into the following challenges

    You clever old stick you, you have coloured her beautifully. If you hadn't told us this was your first attempt we would have thought you were a professional Love the pretty colour combo you have used, I have this stamp, I used it soooooooo much when I first brought it, it's a wonder there is any rubber left on it rotfl.
    I have visited `Dena's blog and watched her tutorial's, so I am going to give my distress inks a dusting down & yet ANOTHER try (wish me luck).lol

    Just put some elastic in those jeans on Monday morning (works a treat).

    OMG!!! You did such a fantastic job with the distressed inks. The more you play, the more you will see what works best for YOU!!! Sounds like you may need a new brush haha! I am super pleased with how pretty your image is colored!!! Very sweet card too. Gotta love those pinks and blues!
    AAAAANNNND I knew there was another reason I liked you,....my birthday is Saturday! Birthday buds! haha! Have a great one. I didn't tell a soul this year about my b-day, I only wanted to be with fam this year!

    I wish my first attempt with the DI's had been half as good as yours is.
    I loved Dena's colouring tutorials, and it is not at all how I colour so I'm going to give it a try myself.
    Love the blue and pink colour combo, so very pretty.
