Skateboarder Ian!

Well if my memory serves me rightly i think this is what this little chap is called!!
I do like him especially as he is so easy to colour and he was within arms reach on my desk as he had not been put away since the last time!!
I made the card for no particular reason but I am sure it will come in handy some when, and have since found 3 challenges I can enter him into - Yippee!
Charisma Cardz - boy oh boy
cards for men - no paper
simon say's - stars and stripes
I do normally as a rule find a sketch or theme and base my card around that but today I just decided to have a play as the weather has been either sun or glum!
Typical now as the bbq is roaring it keeps trying to spit, so guess i had best get my washing in!!

A Get Well Card!!

Hullo, Hullo,
It's been a while I know but better late than never lol x
My friend Sandra (AKA Crafty Nan) has had surgery on her knee so I thought I would rustle her up a card.
I had no suitable images and when that happens you just gotta turn to Stamping Caz as she has a stamp for every occasion, in fact she probably owns all the stamps in the whole wide world lol x
So thanks Caz for lending me this one as it fitted the occasion so well.
I would like to wish Sandra a speedy recovery and hope everything went well.
I'd also like to remind Sandra as she cannot move about so much maybe her fingers could do with some exercise and get her blog up and running as she leaves us all such lovely and funny comments, I am sure we would all like to see her creations so we can give her some praise for a change.
No pressure Sandra - just get your finger out!!!
Well i hope you all have a fab long weekend and make the most of it.
Please Mr Sunshine be nice to us.
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
Creative Card Crew - anything goes
Papertake weekly - pale pastels
My Mums crafts shop - fave colours (pink and kraft)
totally papercrafts - pink and girly
Hope to catch up with you all over the weekendx

A very Special card!

Howdy girlies!!!
Now before you say I've seen this card!!
Yes you have, well the front panel anyway!
It was my friend Caz's special 40th Birthday in the week and I had decided to make her an extra special keepsake.
Unfortunately me being me decided to make it at 9.30 the evening before the big day!! so to save myself a little time I decided to use part of a card I had made previously for the front image and then followed the same colourway to complement the rest which is a box card or is it a book card?
Using my favourite Kraft card of course

It certainly looks like one from a side view and they are so easy to make !
If I can do it on my first attempt anybody can lol x
I have used the martha stewart patp cherish punch - love it!!
As you open the ribbons this is what is inside a lovely accordian style frame, unfortunately you can't see all the glitter on the frame from these pics they are slightly blurred -sorry!
I have used lots of dies, a magnolia lace border, marianne doilly die, SU sizzix embossed butterflies and flower die.
Lastly this is the back of the special card using a magnolia lacy tag die and more of those lovely butterflies.
I first saw one of these cards on Rach's blog and she had kindly linked to the tutorial she made hers from, you really must give it a go they are fun to make and a real wow factor.
I did say to Caz well now you've seen it can I have it back ?
I was joking of course and the answer was no so i guess i will just have to make another!
I will be entering it into the following challenges
just magnolia = lace real or faux
paper sundaes = birthday
sentimental sundaes = handmade flowers
magnolia down under = favourite (Kraft card)
stamp something = anything goes
Well that's it from me have been busy decorating painted the room one colour and then decided "Nah no likey!!!"
So off to B&Q for me next pot and started all over again !!

Magnolia Card!

Hullo, Hullo, my lovelies!!
What glorious weather we have been having, hence the lack of posts for a while!
We spend a lot of time outdoors in this weather and I can't seem to bring myself to sit inside when it is lovely and sunny as I like to make the most of it while it lasts.
I am also very guilty of looking at what everyone else has created instead of creating myself!!
I have finally got round to having a little play and used the fab sketch from Sketch Saturday, I must admit I did struggle as I hadn't made one for soooo long and looking at it now I think it looks a bit bare!!
I love this little magnolia stamp and this is the first time she was inked (along with a lot of my stamps)
As she was a cooking tilda with her wooden spoon I thought you may like to see what we do a lot of in our garden when it's nice and sunny and that is eat Al Fresco, as soon as that sun peaks out the bbq comes out
Am i making you hungry??

Yummy yummy yum yum!!!!
Obviously had to take the snap whilst it was cooking as believe me when it's cooked it's a case of now you see me now you don't!! lol
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
Just Magnolia - button bows and bling ( i have used bows)
Cupcake crafts - letter c I have a cupcake
the paper variety - polka dots
Wishing you a lovely day!!
