Stamp with Us Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
My card for today is to follow the above sketch over at Stamp With Us a great excuse to use my new SU Fall Flower papers, I absolutely love these and have had them some time but tonight was the night they got the chop!!!!
I have used my Distresser tool but not sure if you can see the effect it has given, maybe I have not distressed enough - any tips would be most appreciated as it seemed like I was doing it forever and was covered in paper fluff!! I have also used Kraft paper and my SU stamp set Pocket Silhouettes and SU oval and scalloped oval punches.
BASICALLY ALL SU PRODUCTS!!
In fact looking at my card now you really can't see the distressing but it is there but not enough I feel
DISTRESSING ADVICE NEEDED - PRETTY PLEASE!!

  2. Hi Suzie,
This card is so pretty - I love your flower papers. Oh it's so hard cutting into precious papers!
I am no expert in distressing but I had the same problems as you so now I slightly dampen the edges of my paper before using my distress tool and this seems to help.

  3. First off, let me say your card is beautiful. If you go to my blog you will see distressing and more distressing. If you are using a tool to cut the edges, you just need to go over it several times. If you are talking about the ink. I use 2 things a sponge and a dauber. I usually use a sponge for my lighter ink. At first it will be very light, but you need to keep swiping the edges until you get it the darkness you want it. AFter that I take a dauber and use a darker color to go over the edges agai. Layers! That is my best advice. Hope that helps!

  4. What you on about woman! I can see the distressing on your card. If in doubt, just rip and tear the edges and then ink them up, that should do the trick, have a good day off tommorrow, remember NO HOUSEWORK! xxx
