Snow Kiss!

Hullo, Hullo,
Oh how I love this stamp "Snow Kiss" Penny Black isn't it so cute!
I made this card at the weekend and keep trying to add to it but every time I try it just doesn't look right so I have left it as it is.
Lots and lots of stickles on this one but you will have to look closely, it twinkles lovely in the flesh!
Looking at the polar bear now I am wondering what he would look like with white flower soft hmmm now there's a thought, maybe I will have to experiment.
Well, I have been awake since silly o'clock as I started coughing and coughing and coughing and coughing and then that was it I was wide awake so then I start thinking Waaaagh Christmas!
Not done a blooming thing yet haven't even got any decs up I just really can't get in the mood but need to get a groove on and get in the mood as lots and lots to do especially as one of my son's arrived on 23rd December so also have a birthday to think about!! aaaggghhhh!!!

Snow fun!

Hullo, Hullo,
I have a Mini Magnolia card today to show you, my lovely friend Tracy bought me this as a gift last year and I have only just found her since (well I did say she was mini!) I had put her somewhere safe along with mini Edwin and his lizard.
The reason I started this card was because I wanted to play with my new Martha Stewart PATP Deco flowers, these damn punches are slowly becoming my guilty pleasure (as Cheryl Cole would say!) I have also used MS branch punch and MS poinsettia punch, I seem to have gone a little punch crazy!!
I have also used my fab new Sentiments Flags die and stamp set from Lil Inker, I am loving this it comes with sentiments (although this sentiment is an Elzybell) along with a die to cut out a banner image.
I still have lots of cards to make and am finding it hard to find the time and to be honest don't really feel that inspirational to make them but they gotta be done one way or another!!
I was happy to find that my card qualifies for the following challenges
Just Magnolia - anything goes and sparkle (there is sparkle honest!!)
Secret Crafter - christmas
Stamp Something - Christmas Colours
totally papercrafts - christmas punches
Top tip Tuesday - anything goes
Stampavie and more - snowflakes
Now onto some snowy pics..
Don't trees look pretty covered in snow - i love it!
Kids deciding to build an igloo this was taken just before they started arguing and then burying each others head in the snow! Brotherly love !!
They then decided to build a real igloo..

Sadly this never got finished because then the rain came and everything started to defrost, so they have decided this will be top of the list when the next lot arrives!!
Hope you have had fun in the snow and not been too disrupted!

Crimbo Cards!!

Hullo, hullo,
I'm back with some fantastic Penny Black Mimi Christmas cards which I made on a class with the lovely Mrs Wonka last night, first up is this little cutie and I learnt how to make my image lovely and sparkly, unfortunately David Bailey was busy so I had to take my own pics but trust me this is a real sparkler!!!
I like all of them but this is my favourite, another card design I had never tried before and yet so "Simples"!!
Another angle for you isn't it cool may have to try and make some little scenes with this design!!
Last but not least Mimi decorating her tree, aren't they cute and look at all that Kraft paper well crumb cake (SU) isn't it devine I was in my element!!!
There was a great bunch of ladies and we had a scream like we always do - well I must own up they probably think of me as Ladette to lady!!!
We get thoroughly spoilt at Mrs Wonka's there is always chocolate on tap!! (Well you know what I mean - not literally!) but I think Mr Wonka maybe working on it!!

Finally I received 2 lovely awards from a couple of lovely blogging buddies, Elaine and Nicki and funnily enough they were the same just a different colour!!
Apparently they think I have "Attitude" see it's confirmed I am officially a Ladette!!! lol
These are special as they also come with a $5 dollar gift certificate to spend at Digis with Attitude, aren't I Lucky - Thank you ladies!!
I do have to tell you 3 things about myself though - umm where do i start...........
1. I love music and singing (can't sing but love to practice!) all types of music but especially Linkin Park when I am doing my housework.
If the kids are annoying me I will play Will Young and sing Evergreen at the top of my voice so I can annoy them!! fair huh!!
I do have to blow my own trumpet though and can sing a wicked version of Robin (Kermits nephew) Halfway up the stairs - so proud!

2. I was a Brownie when I was younger an Elf and have remained a true brownie ever since and am proud to say I always "Think of others before myself!!"

3. I have held a spider in my mouth a bit like I'm a celebrity Jungle!!! .......................ok so not like in the jungle, picture the scene - kids were on the settee and I was pulling the curtains looking up with my mouth open (don't ask me why it was open i dunno) as I pulled the curtains something landed in the back of my throat - obviously I started choking and causing a scene with kids laughing, spat this thing out and it was only a blooming great big spider which unravelled itself and scuttled under the settee!! waaagh yeah I know nearly death by spider!!
Luckily we both survived!!
I also have to pass this on to 5 others

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend - no snow for us yet hope its not too icy wherever you maybe and stay safe!

Male card!

Hullo, Hullo,
Oooh such a long time since I last posted such a bad blogger I am, I do apologise, life in general has been busy and then we have had the dreaded lurgies that have been floating around.
I am still trying to shake it off but still have the dreaded cough that keeps me awake at night (and everyone else supposedly! oops)
I thought you may like to see the card that I had made for my Dads special birthday, male cards are always hard but this one just came together and I love it I have used lots of punches and dies for this one, I even embossed, I always forget about my CB folders it's such a sin as I love the effect they achieve this one is called Diamond plate and is fab for the guys.
The cork tiles are little pads off a new piece of glass we recently bought so I trimmed them to size to make scrabble effect tiles!!
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
Papertake Weekly - autumn colours
Tuesday throwdown - buttons and bows
Paper playtime - about love or something you love (i luv my ms punches and mft dies not forgetting my Dad of course!!)
Little papershop - Die cuts
Anything goes - emboss it
Well that's it folks for today but I will be back as although I have been MIA two lovely ladies had been thinking of me and given me awards which cheered me up I can tell you so I will post them next time.

My 1st Flowerpot card!

Hullo, Hullo,
I know these type of cards have been around for a long long while but this is actually the 1st time I have had a go at making a flower pot card and I love em!!!
It took a lil while cutting out all the Marianne Design flowers but I think it was worth it, all the flowers and leaves are glimmer misted and look lovely and sparkly as they catch the light.
The flowerpot has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder and I have used the Martha Stewart Doilly Lace punch also.
Over at A Spoonful of Sugar this week the challenge is Diecutting/Punches so I will be entering my card.
I will also be entering it into
Totally papercrafts - bling it on
Papertake Weekly - sparkly and bright
Crafty Calendar - birthdays
Simon Say's - Punch em
Creative Card Crew- lets punch it
Well busy weekend for me need to polish my Nimbus 2000 it's gonna be chilly out Sunday so if you are high in the skies don't forget to say Hello I will probably have a fleece on and ear muffs so you may need to shout !!!!

Crimbo card and candy alert!!

Hullo, Hullo,
Good Evening to you, mine has been hectic, I only forgot about my monthly scrap club which I really enjoy going to, I couldn't believe it when I got the phone call but managed to make it just in time to make my tri shutter album. It's not finished of course so no piccies as of yet!!
I did manage a little crimbo card above though and it is very sparkly but alas as usual no sparkle vision, I absolutely love this little stamp i think those mices are so sweet!!!
The reason I am really here though is to let you know about some fabulous candy on offer from the one and only Faye if you have never visited her then you must (not just for the candy!) but for the giggle factor, this lady has me in stitches with her very quick and witty sense of humour she really is right up my street and I thoroughly enjoy her beautiful cards and daily goings on!
So if you haven't been fluffed before go grab some now and wear your button with pride!!!

Pretty Flutterby!

Hullo, Hullo,
Happy Friday to one and all!!
I have a pretty lil flutterby today these Marianne Designs are simply stunning, so intricate and delicate don't you think?
My Magnolia Doo Hickey Fence die has had another outing I am really loving this at the moment, I didn't think I would bother with this at first as I had the Martha Stewart fence punch, but then I saw this fab card over at Kim's blog and it sold it to me straight away!
Another angle so you can see the butterfly in a little more detail, I have double cut with a white so it could stand out from the dark background as the orange blended in too much.
The challenge this week over at Cute Card Thursday is What's buggin you, my friend Caz is also Guest Designer for October so please pop over and take a look some wonderful creations over there.
I will also be entering my card into
Ellephantastic Challenge - anything goes
Crafty calendar challenge - Autumn birthdays
I would also like to say Thanks to all you lovely ladies out there who shared your ladybird tales on my last post they really made me chuckle and also reminded me that I too was on a beach back in the 70/80's as a child when the ladybirds descended on us and the sea was red so I came out started chomping on an apple and before I knew it they had taken over my apple! Cheeky little beggars!!!
If you read my comments on my last post this next bit will make sense, if you didn't then you should its funny!!
Note for Sandra (aka Crafty Nan)
so Mrs Crafty Nan it was you who whooshed your ladybirds my way was it - they ended up everywhere I was hanging washing out and they were on my face, hair, everywhere!!! I caught Mark sweeping them out the garage there were so many!!
Well, we have a few rather large hairy spiders that big they look like they are wearing boots so I will tub them up and whoosh them your way - I like to share too!! lol!!
Enjoy your weekend whatever it may be!!

Tilda card!

Hullo, Hullo,
I have used Tilda with flower on my card and this is her first inking, she has been stashed in a drawer with a few others for quite some time now and was crying to come out and play so here she is, I think this has to be one of my fave ones and she could be used for almost any occasion I think!! (Maybe not for the lads!) Don't quite think they would appreciate her do you?
I have used a mixture of Martha Stewart punches, Marianne Dies and Magnolia Dies they all work so well together.
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
Cute card Thursday - make your own
Crafty Catz - Magnolia/Tilda
Papertake Weekly - 3 of a kind (I have used 3 dies)
Just a quickie from me this evening as had a fun filled weekend as it was my sons 20th so went our for a meal (god that makes me feel old!!), also went to a Karaoke (and yes I did sing, well I tried!)
So I am feeling somewhat tired tonight so need to get to bed!

Red and Black!

Hullo, Hullo,
Bit of a late one from me tonight, the bed that was supposed to be delivered Friday turned up this afternoon - yes Tuesday, but it's here now only took a month to come considering it should have been 1-2 weeks!!!
Well it's all up but can't be used yet as the memory foam mattress has to sit for 72 hours!!! hey does it really matter just another 3 days to wait !!
My son has been complaining about his old bed for ages, I reckon he will sleep for a week when he eventually gets to sleep in it! lol
Anyway back to the crafting - I have used a fab stamp which I won from the lovely Elaine and decided to paper piece her dress and make a little scene on my card, here is a little close up of the sentiment, I am so pleased this came out ok as this was the last thing I did on the card and luckily it stamped perfick!!
I will be entering my card into the Papertake Weekly challenge as it is their 3rd Birthday Woo Hoo!! they are having a blog hop with lots of prizes and you can choose whichever challenge you like which they have used in the last 3 years - I have chosen In Stitches -June 2010.

Below is the last project I made at the stamping event. I forgot I hadn't posted it and when I went to finish it off realised I didn't have quite enough paper for the card so I had to make a Suzie Q special and compromiseActually looking at the photo now I realise I still haven't finished it as the handbag only has one handle!! Doh!
Well I hope you have enjoyed my red and black post tonight and if anybody was slightly interested I did make it there and back in the truck from the MOT station in one piece with no "cling ons" attached!!

Hey Funghis!!

Hullo, Hullo,
What a wet and dreary day it is!!!
I'm stuck indoors today as I am waiting for a new bed to arrive, an ongoing saga I will be very surprised if it makes it here but to be honest I'm past caring!!! Grrr!!
Good job I was here though as my youngest is at home with a temperature and sore throat so will be passing him food and drinks on the end of a pole wearing a mask as I do not want the lurgy!!
Anyway I managed to sneak in my craft room to make a card using the sketch from Papertake Weekly designed by the lovely Dawny P!
I used another of my many Elzybells and for the first time used my Martha Stewart scissors to fringe the cardstock - what do you think? it's rather snazzy isn't it!!
Here is a different angle so you can see the fringey bits at their best.

It just so happens that the challenge over at Cupcake Crafts this week is to use Pink and Brown so I will enter it there also.
Now whilst I have been travelling around blogland I read about the fascinating "mushroom circles" or should I say fairy circles that have cropped up in Kim and Fayes gardens, well we have a large garden and I know we do get mushrooms so I wanted to have a look today to see if there were any in our's but the weather is awful so I thought I would show you a lovely pic of my Hibiscus Syriacus Bluebird that was in full bloom when we got back from our hols, isn't it lovely? It's one of my favourite flowers.
But look!!!!
Whilst I was searching for my flower photo, I forgot I had taken this a couple of weeks ago
LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THESE.......
These are based at the bottom of one of our trees, isn't that one of the most massivest mushrooms in mushroom world you ever did see!!!!
If the rain lets up today I will go see if these Funghis have been playing around and produced more.... Watch this space!!!!
Well I hope the weather gets better and you all have an enjoyable weekend, mine will be filled with a Family meal, aerobics and taking my other halves Ford Transit Tipper for an MOT!!!
Yes I hear you gasp I am taking the truck for an MOT as he will be working!!
WARNING!!!!
Please stay indoors between the hours of 11.15 and 12.15 tomorrow morning and do not go anywhere near the Manor Royal as I will be driving the truck!!!!
Please lord let me get there and back in one piece and with no additional vehicles or members of public hanging off my bumpers!!

Lil Robin's!!

Hullo, Hullo,
A Christmas card for you today using my lovely little Robins from , can you guess? Yes Elzybells.
They are so cute I love them!!
The sentiment is a favourite of mine and gets used a lot it fits perfectly with my little birdies!
I have used the sketch over at Get Sketchy for my card and used Kraft card along with SU Real red card, ink and marker.
The punches are SU apart from the lil snowflake popped on top of the flowers!
I will also be entering my card into the following challenges
Incy Wincy - anything goes
Totally Gorguss - christmas
One stop Craft - snowflakes

One for the Boys!!

Hullo, Hullo,
After doing such a girlie card last, I thought I had best do one for the lads!!!
The challenge over at Cupcake Crafts inspired this card as the task this week is Transport!!!
My Elzybell stamp sprang to mind straight away so I set straight to work paper piecing it and popping the wheels on dimensional pads to give it a bit of depth and finished off with an Elzybell sentiment.
Here is an angled shot so you can see the wheels and L plate lifted, I am sure there is a stamp set out there with the L plate on so I thought I would give it a go myself and am quite pleased with the result.
I will also be entering my card into the following challenges
Lollipop Crafts - all about boy
A spoonful of sugar - anything goes
Now onto some extremely amazing and unbelievable news!!
You may remember back in June my son and his friend had their bikes stolen from school, well after lots of investigating from us and friends of my son and help from the police I am sure you will be pleased to hear that we now have it safe at home, Ok maybe not with the original seat, front wheel or forks (that cost a fortune!!) and stripped of all it's paint, but it is back where it should be and not with the thieving little *?&*** that stole it!!!!
To say I am pleased is an understatement it feels sooooooo good, unfortunately his friends has never been spotted but we will still be looking!!!
Have an enjoyable weekend whatever it may be and thank you for popping by and leaving me lovely comments x

Such a lil Cutie!!

Hullo, Hullo,
Good Morning!!!
I thought you might like to see the card I made for my friend Paula whose birthday was on Wednesday, she is very girlie so I chose this stamp as it was a new one and was waiting to be inked and isn't it just the sweetest pose!!!
I have tried the dotty background that I have been seeing on blogs, it was a first attempt, a little practice is needed I feel!! lol
I wanted to give it a distressed feel but without the grunge factor and I think I have just about pulled it off - Goodness what a mess I got into "paper fluff" everywhere even on the insides of me glasses!!!
Good fun though!!
The papers are My Minds Eye - Quite Contrary and I am nearly out I must restock as I love them.
I have also used my favourite thing ever at the moment - Kraft Card I really don't think I am gonna ever get fed up with this!!
There is lots of stardust stickles on the flowers and around the edge - very sparkly!!

Here is the inside of the card, the flowers have liquid pearls in the centre but unfortunately you can't really see.
Hope you like!!
I will be entering my card into the following challenges
ABC challenge - distressing
Sir Stampalot -distressing
Cute Card Thursday - birds or butterflies
Totally Papercrafts - Happy Birthday
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
