Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
How are you lovely ladies?
I hope you will be returning now you have seen my mug shot, hope I haven't scared you away - I am quite tame really... not!!
You did all make me laugh with your comments you made my day, thank you.
As well as loving monkeys I also love gingerbread men, you may be surprised but it's not the actual eating of them it's the way they look they are so sweet, especially Gingy in Shrek he is so cool !!! ( No! not the buttons - not my gumdrop buttons!! hee hee!)
The reason I have mentioned Gingy is because it wasn't until I had popped over to Papertake Weekly and checked out the DT cards(which are all fab of course) that I saw Mandys take on the sketch and she had used a super cute gingerbread man!
It was at this point I thought I have a stamp of a "Gingy" and he hadn't even been foamed along with the super cute greeting that goes with him so I inked him up and used him with my Martha Stewart gingerbread punch. I can see me gathering quite a collection of these I think they are great!
Hope you like my "Gingy" card!!

I've Given in!!!

Hullo, Hullo,
It is my lovely SIL birthday today, so HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!!!!
I have kept my card "simple pimple" as I do love to show the Kraft off, I did actually forget to take a piccie of the inside as I have used the Stamp set "Cheers to you" from SU which is also the greeting in this set so I had stamped it on an oval SU punch then mounted it on the Scallop Oval punch for the inside. I think the camera has just about picked up the Anitas Clear gloss that I put on my cocktail glasses, they look so shiny!!
I also had another card already made from the kids which you have already seen but I love it so much that thought I would show you again

Now for my next piccie not a card I'm afraid but a snapshot of me as I have been asked for one (can't quite understand as I think the monkey is better looking!) but here goes

This is me at my best, at a recent bbq after a few sherberts!

Never book any entertainment if you are having a bash, I'd only need a couple of half a lagers and I'm there all singing, all dancing !!!

Hope your happy now Maree lol!!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
I have another, yes another gorguss girl to show you today and I have used her for my entry in the Truly Scrumptious Challenge they have a great sketch and the added extra of using beads.
Not sure if you can see mine too clearly but I have popped them in the centre of my Martha Stewart Hydrangea flowers - I really wanted to use pearls as they do look a little beady but thought best stick to the rules!!
I have used Basic Grey Porcelain papers - so pretty never want to use them!!
Hope to be back later!

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
If there is one challenge you must do this week it has to be The Sugar Bowl Challenge as they have the most cutest Manga stamps as the prize for this weeks winner, not 1 but 4 of them and they are so so sweet you will not want to miss out on these!!!
There is a sketch to follow that Gayle has designed and I hope you like my entry.
I decided on pink and brown as I love the two together, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the paper tut tut, but if anyone would like to jog my memory it would be most appreciated.
I have also used brown bazzill bling card which actually hasn't shown up to well in the photo it looks a little blurry. A gorguss girl with some pink satin spotty ribbon and doodlebug jewels to give that extra bit of bling!! and of course my Martha Stewart Doilly Lace punch - this is gonna get so much use I love this punch.
Hope you have had a good day despite the weather - where has Mr Sunshine gone I hope he comes back soon - fingers crossed x

Stamp with Us Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and managed to craft a little if not a lot!!
Unfortunately I had quite a busy weekend so didn't manage to do any of the challenges on my list until tonight.
I chose the challenge over at Stamp with Us as the picture they have given you for inspiration is so summery and I just want to be on that beach, obviously not building sandcastles but on my sun lounger with a book in one hand and cocktail in the other!!!
I based my card on the colours rather than the beach theme, and used SU scallop border punch on Real Red and I think Ballet Blue card stock.
The stamp set is SU - A Little Bit of Happiness. The image has been coloured in with Copics.
As you can see for a change I have used my Kraft cards as the base !
Why not join in you could be lucky and win Free entry into their Summer Online Classes!!
Hope to be back tomorrow with another !

Gorguss Card!!

Hullo, Hullo,
Yet another Gorguss card today girlies I can't seem to get enough of these at the moment!!
I absolutely adore this lil' girl she just looks so sweet - I have used her today to take part in A Spoon Full of Sugar and they have a super prize of Space Boy Ian from the Greeting Farm (love these as well!) Super samples of cards by the DT , definitely worth hopping over to take a look at the sketch for you to participate.
I have used Basic Grey papers (I think) along with Kaiserkraft pearls and I have used my whitewash coordinations card stock - now I like this look ,I got my Basic Grey Precision tool set and used the file giving the cardstock a lil' rub and hey presto pink coming through my white wash!!
OOps! I forgot to mention I did run it through the cuttlebug first with an embossing folder to get the embossed flowers , unfortunatley I am not that much of a wizard that I magically produced the flowers with my file ! lol x
I hope you like todays card and hope to be back soon as there are so many sketches I want to do but so little time, isn't that always the way!!!

Red and Black

Hullo, hullo,
Let's hope we see a little sunshine today and not so much rain (sorry ducks!)
Todays card has been created using the sketch from Papertake Weekly lots of inspiration to be had from their designers - beautiful cards have been made.
I already had this lil gorguss girl coloured and decided I would have a black and red theme going on, because the image had hearts as her hair accessories obviously for me hearts were to be used on the card (lots of them! lol). The lil hearts on her hair and and on the corners of the image are Hero arts, you get these in a lil packet along with pink and white ones they are so cute.
I have used my sought after Martha Stewart Doilly Lace punch ( a must have) and for the 1st time I used my Making Memories ribbon slot tool - how on earth did I ever get by without this it is absolutely amazing!!! I also used the little hearts that you get left over when you use your Martha Stewart Valentine Lace punch and popped those in the centres of my flowers.
If you are playing along in the challenge - GOOD LUCK!

It's a Bright one!

Hullo, Hullo,
Please don't say I didn't warn you it is quite a bright card I have done for this challenge over at Secret Crafter and here is the sketch that I have based my card on
I have used my Twitterpatted papers from Imaginesce again and the little bird stamp that coordinates with it.
He really is "So Tweet" - they do have a matching sentiment saying "So Tweet" but it is a rather large circular stamp and I just couldn't get it to look right somehow so I have used a Happy Birthday rub on instead !!
My new Martha Stewart border punch has been used and I have punched flowers out to match the papers - if I am honest I am not too sure about this one, I do love bright colours on cards but I do struggle bringing them together , looking at my card now I am wondering if I should of had a
red circle border around my little birdy??

Too late now - hope you have enjoyed your weekend, Mr Sunshine was kind to us today - not like Mr Pouring Down with Rain last night!!!!
Had a good time at the Turkish night - the belly dancer was a tiny little petite thing shaking her booty around -actually she was gorgeous to be fair, but belly dancing is something I have never got my head round - surely to be a belly dancer you need a belly or shall we say Jelly belly cos after a few sherberts last night my little jelly belly carried on wobbling after I had stopped dancing!!

Just Magnolia Challenge 13

Hullo, Hullo,

I have joined in with the sketch over at Just Magnolia this week and as always I love checking out the DT cards they really are the biz!

This is the 1st time I have inked up this little girlie, isn't she just the sweetest, she looks to me as if she is waving and saying Hi as if she is excited and going to greet someone - well that's what it looks like to me in my little magnolia world!! lol

SU papers (again) with lots of bling in the way of Doodlebug jewels and I have paper pieced her dress in coordinating papers - oooh i do love to paper piece I really think it brings it altogether if you have a bit of paper piecing going on!!!

Hopefully I will be doing a bit of blog hopping this weekend, it absolutely amazes me all the talent out there you lot sure get me crafting juices flowing!!!

Hope to be back tomorrow with a bit of luck - but will need to spend a bit of me time titivating myself as we are off to a Turkish Night for a friends birthday - sounds fun!!!

Christmas in July!

Hullo, hullo,
I know, I know, I haven't gone mad Christmas is really in December please do not worry and panic.
The reason for my Crimbo card is for the super challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday and the prize this week is from Sally Ann over at Grab a Doodle so surely not one to be missed!!
This seemed really weird doing a Crimbo card, I mean I am not a very organized human being although I do try it just never happens and normally I am rushing in the last week of the run up to Christmas to get my cards done!!
So I am thinking to myself I may just throw the odd one in here and there so then I will not have the last minute rush - I hope you don't mind!!
I have taken my photo outside to try and pick up the sparkle from the fur on the adorable bears hats, I have also added pearls as berries on the holly - not a lot going on in this card but I think the image is fantastic and doesn' t really need a lot.
Hope you agree
Thank you for taking the time to leave me comments it really makes my day!!

Carols Sketch Fun challenge 9

Hullo, Hullo,
Whilst browsing through the fabulous Kath's Blog I stumbled across a sketch from Carol and this is what I ended up with!
I have finally used my twitterpatted papers from Imaginesce - these are exceptionally sweet and me did not want to chop! I lie actually I did chop into a piece when I made my Elzybell sheep card a little while ago but other than that they have been safely tucked away.
I absolutely love this magnolia with the ladybird, but it is one i have not purchased yet but my friend Heidi was nice enough to stamp me a couple until I get my mitts on one.
It's not my usual square card it is a umm non square card - sorry not very good at card sizes - silly me!
It seems great at the moment as every time I use paper with flowers on, I seem to have a punch that matches - YAY that makes me do a jig, I do like to match me flowers.
I did take the photo outside in the garden I was trying to pick up the glitter on the yellow centres of the flowers not sure if you can see but it is lovely and sparkly.
Do pop along to Carols blog as you can win a stamp set and some flowers if you are the chosen one!
Enjoy your weekend

PS - I have just looked back at my card and them "blooming" white flowers have made me fancy a fried egg!!!

How Lucky Am I !!

Hullo,Hullo,

How Lucky am I!!!

I joined in on the candy over at The Crimson Moon and was lucky enough to be chosen to receive this lovely book thong - how sweet is that!
It was packaged beautifully with a lovely charm which was a lttle hand imprinted with "handmade" on it (you may see this recycle on a card lol!)
It is now proudly displayed in my book that I am reading at the moment and obviously as you can imagine I was "over the crimson moon" when I knew I had won such fab candy!
Liz also has a website The Crimson Moon do pop along and have a look at the wonderful handmade jewellery and gifts she has made, she is a very clever lady and obviously has lots of patience to work with such tiny beads - I guarantee you will be tempted!
Thanks so much Liz!!
Enjoy your day whatever you may be doing

Stamp with Us Challenge

Hullo, Hullo,
My card for today is to follow the above sketch over at Stamp With Us a great excuse to use my new SU Fall Flower papers, I absolutely love these and have had them some time but tonight was the night they got the chop!!!!
I have used my Distresser tool but not sure if you can see the effect it has given, maybe I have not distressed enough - any tips would be most appreciated as it seemed like I was doing it forever and was covered in paper fluff!! I have also used Kraft paper and my SU stamp set Pocket Silhouettes and SU oval and scalloped oval punches.
BASICALLY ALL SU PRODUCTS!!
In fact looking at my card now you really can't see the distressing but it is there but not enough I feel
DISTRESSING ADVICE NEEDED - PRETTY PLEASE!!
